  • Active expert-level certifications such as CCIE (Enterprise Infrastructure/Data Center), CCNP Enterprise, Fortinet NSE 7/8, or equivalent proven industry experience are highly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of advanced routing protocols, including designing and optimizing OSPF in complex multi-area environments, BGP (iBGP/eBGP with complex route policies and attributes), and large-scale SD-WAN deployments.
  • Extensive experience with complex Spanning Tree implementations (PVRST+, MSTP), multi-layer redundancy (HSRP/VRRP, GLBP), advanced VLAN structures, Private VLANs (PVLAN), and Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF).
  • Mastery of data center switching fabrics, Cisco Nexus switches (NX-OS), vPC (Virtual Port Channels), VXLAN, and Quality of Service (QoS) design for traffic prioritization.
  • Expert-level configuration and lifecycle management of enterprise-grade Fortigate and Palo Alto firewall clusters, including High Availability (HA), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), SSL Inspection, and Deep Packet Inspection (DPI).
  • Thorough understanding of cryptographic protocols and experience implementing Site-to-Site IPsec VPNs and remote-access SSL VPNs using AES, RSA, and ECC algorithms.

  • Ability to participate in a senior-level on-call rotation and perform high-risk network maintenance during non-business hours or weekends.
  • Ability to supervise physical datacenter layouts and ensure fiber and copper structural cabling meets structural and environmental requirements.
  • Must execute a comprehensive NDA and IP protection agreement.
  • Must pass a comprehensive criminal and professional background verification.

Responsibilities

  • Design, engineer, and plan long-term capacity for corporate data centers, manufacturing plant networks, global WAN/SD-WAN structures, and enterprise campus environments.
  • Serve as the Tier-3 escalation point and highest internal technical authority for complex routing, switching, wireless, and network security incidents.
  • Direct emergency troubleshooting during high-priority P1/P0 network outages.
  • Serve as technical lead or Project Manager for major infrastructure initiatives, including data center migrations, cloud integrations, and core hardware refreshes; deliver projects within scope and schedule without business disruption.
  • Develop scripts and use orchestration tools to automate repetitive network tasks, configuration provisioning, compliance auditing, and mass firmware deployments.
  • Design and enforce enterprise-wide network security baselines, zero-trust architectures, and segmentation strategies; ensure infrastructure complies with ISO 27001, NIST, and internal security policies.
  • Oversee relationships with telecommunications carriers, internet service providers, and core hardware vendors; lead negotiations for service contracts, technical support agreements, and hardware procurements.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior network administrators and helpdesk staff.
  • Establish engineering standards and best practices, and approve comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures.
