Requirements
  • Experience supporting production equipment on a day-to-day basis.
  • Experience concepting and designing equipment for capital projects.
  • Experience managing capital projects from start to finish.
  • Experience using data to drive results.
  • Experience organizing and leading matrix teams to complete successful projects on time and within budget constraints.
  • Experience troubleshooting production equipment.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
  • Knowledge of simulation modeling software.
  • Understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration and American National Standards Institute requirements.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 4–7 years of experience, including engineering and hands-on plant or equipment-level support.
  • Ability to spend long hours on the production floor, up to 80% of the time.
Responsibilities
  • Participate on a team that defines project scope, budget, and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of equipment specifications for capital equipment projects.
  • Manage equipment improvement projects from startup to completion.
  • Track project content, schedule, budget, and plant safety.
  • Write justifications and proposals.
  • Manage vendors and contractors.
  • Provide regular project updates to stakeholders.
  • Review, provide feedback on, and approve equipment designs.
  • Confirm all as-built drawings and documentation at the production line.
  • Research and develop equipment improvement projects focused on safety, machine efficiency, modernization, manpower reduction, and capacity increases.
  • Develop machine timing charts.
  • Provide plant-level support for equipment.
  • Work closely with other plant support and production personnel.
  • Provide daily support for mechanical equipment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of computer numerical control programming and fixture design.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor.
