Requirements
  • Proficiency in carpentry, including partition framing with metal or wood studs, basic cabinetry and countertop installation, and door and window installation.
  • Proficiency in interior and exterior painting.
  • Proficiency in installing VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares, and cove base flooring.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, including replacing and installing sinks, faucets, toilets, and basic drainage and water lines.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical work, including replacing and installing light fixtures, switches, and outlets; making basic data connections; and diagnosing minor electrical problems.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, including refrigeration and preventive maintenance service calls.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
  • Ability to document repairs with measurements, pictures, repair recommendations, and quotes.
  • Ability to work overtime and/or on-call as workload and emergency issues dictate.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work overnight shifts throughout the United States when needed.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or commercial maintenance.
  • Must supply basic construction hand tools.
  • OSHA 10-hour certification, or completion of OSHA 10-hour training within 3 months of employment; the employer pays for the training.
Responsibilities
  • Perform commercial renovations and buildouts.
  • Travel and work overnight shifts throughout the United States when needed.
  • Communicate with customers and build customer relationships.
  • Record details of repairs, including measurements and pictures, and provide repair recommendations and quotes.
