About the job

Requirements
  • A Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in social work techniques or delinquency intervention techniques is required.
  • Must be a member in good standing of the Quebec Order of Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists (OTSTCFQ).
  • Must be open to working in a northern or remote community.
  • Must demonstrate listening, communication, and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Assess residents’ psychosocial needs.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan and monitor intervention plans.
  • Support residents and their families as they adjust to life in a long-term care facility (CHSLD).
  • Coordinate community or external services as needed.
  • Maintain clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience serving older clients in an institutional setting is an asset.
