Responsibilities
Review bid documents, including requests for proposals, qualifications, drawings, specifications, and bid instructions, to understand project requirements, schedules, and costs before bid submission.
Create and submit accurate and competitive estimates.
Write and submit scope letters aligned with dollar estimates, clearly listing inclusions and exclusions.
Create detailed and accurate construction schedules in Gantt chart format with buy-in from subcontractors and operations.
Participate in and help prepare for owner and client interviews and presentations.
Work alongside other estimators and collaborate with accounting, design, sales, operations, and marketing departments.
Manage multiple estimates simultaneously, averaging two estimates per week, and prioritize time effectively.
Own the accuracy of all submitted estimates.
Desired Qualifications
Five or more years of experience is preferred.
Familiarity with the Kentucky tax-exempt direct-purchase-order process is highly preferred.
Strong experience and understanding of the design-build process is highly preferred.
Knowledge and familiarity with the responsible use and exploration of artificial intelligence and newer technologies is a plus.
Estimating software experience is a plus.

Essential Responsibilities
Work alongside 3 other estimators with a positive attitude, helping each other out when needed/possible.
Work alongside other departments (accounting, design, sales, operations, marketing) in a professional manner with a Team like attitude.
Carefully review and understand all bid documents including but not limited to RFP’s, qualifications, drawings, specs, and bid instructions to have the necessary understanding of the requirements, time, and costs required to complete the project prior to the bid going out the door.
