Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years leading high-growth enterprise software/SaaS sales with a track record of achieving quarterly quotas and exceeding business objectives.
  • Over 5 years of experience in the energy and/or process manufacturing sector, with a solid understanding of value chains and key economic drivers.
  • Proven experience in enterprise software sales and building a high-performing sales team.
  • Relevant experience in leading enterprise software sales in Data Operations/Analytics/Data Science/Machine Learning domains.
  • Established relationships within target energy and/or process manufacturing accounts with a proactive approach to nurturing and expanding these connections.
  • A deep commitment to adhering to defined sales processes to drive consistency and success within the team.
  • Proven capability to develop and mentor team members with varying levels of experience, enhancing their skills and effectiveness.
  • Exceptional collaborative skills to effectively work across Cognite and partner ecosystems to achieve common goals.
  • Expertise in negotiating contracts that ensure mutual benefits and foster long-term client relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
  • Recruit, coach, and mentor a diverse team of sellers, ensuring excellence across all experience levels.
  • Meet and exceed quarterly quotas by implementing effective sales strategies and fostering satisfied, referenceable customer relationships.
  • Utilize rigorous forecasting and pipeline management processes to ensure accurate monthly and quarterly performance assessments.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth plan for your assigned sector in the Americas, leveraging collaboration opportunities with partners and key accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with Cognite’s internal teams and the partner ecosystem to create a unified approach to navigating sales processes and exploring new opportunities.
  • Guide your team in employing value-based selling techniques that highlight the ROI of Cognite's offerings.
  • Actively participate in closing deals and negotiating contracts with large enterprises to ensure favorable terms that align with customer needs.
  • Maintain a strong presence near sales teams and customers to facilitate relationship building and respond quickly to client needs.
  • Expect approximately 40% travel to engage with customers and partners across the Americas.
