Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalency is required.
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician Program is required.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the Association of Surgical Technologists or as a Surgical Technician by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting is required.
  • At least one year of experience as a Certified Surgical Technician is required; new graduates may be considered based on required CST certification and academic performance.
  • Knowledge of surgical supplies, instruments, machines, and equipment used in and related to the Operating Room is required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide crucial support to physicians delivering cardiac care services in the Electrophysiology Lab.
  • Support the Electrophysiology Laboratory team, which performs diagnostic tests including electrophysiology studies and tilt table tests to support appropriate treatment and patient outcomes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience working as a Certified Surgical Technician in electrophysiology is preferred.
