Requirements
  • A Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the field is required to teach undergraduate courses, or a terminal degree in the field of study or a closely related field is required to teach graduate courses.
  • Experience teaching first-time-in-college freshmen or transfer students.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Responsibilities
  • Teach up to seven semester credit hours, comprising up to two courses, within the Honors College on campus during the day and/or evening as dictated by student demand and departmental needs.
  • Develop and manage the class syllabus and ensure that it meets department and college standards.
  • Plan and create lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments.
  • Assess student grades based on participation, classroom performance, assignments, and examinations.
  • Assist and mentor students as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • College or University teaching experience.
  • Familiarity with transformative learning practices, high-impact practices, experiential learning, and honors education.
  • Experience with student transition support.
  • Evidence of teaching excellence.
  • Prior relevant industry experience.
