  • Currently pursuing a degree while available to work part-time for 6-12 months and onsite for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design, development, and optimization of AI software solutions, including algorithms, frameworks, and AI software architectures.

HPE advances 'Saudi Made' strategy with expanded portfolio and new initiatives to accelerate Saudi innovation. HPE recently announced a series of new investments and initiatives at LEAP 2026 that further expand its contribution to Saudi Arabia's technology ecosystem. Key announcements include the launch of 'Saudi Made, Developed, Deployed' program, the expansion of HPE's locally produced technology portfolio, and plans to establish a Saudi Innovation Center at HPE's new offices in Riyadh. Together, these initiatives are strengthening local technology production, developing skills and creating new opportunities for Saudi technology companies, supporting Saudi Vision 2030. "The investments we are announcing at LEAP represent the next phase of HPE's long-term commitment to Saudi Arabia", said Mohammad Alrehaili, Vice President and Managing Director, Middle East, HPE. "By expanding our local infrastructure production and connecting it with Saudi-developed technology, skills and integration and support service capabilities, we are helping customers accelerate innovation while strengthening the Kingdom's end-to-end technology ecosystem". 'Saudi Made, Developed, Deployed' connects infrastructure, innovation and local delivery Announced on the main stage at LEAP 2026, 'Saudi Made, Developed, Deployed' is a new initiative from HPE, Intel and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology designed to accelerate the development, validation and commercialisation of AI and digital transformation solutions in Saudi Arabia. The initiative will connect 'Saudi Made' infrastructure with Saudi-developed applications and intellectual property, as well as implementation and support delivered by Saudi-based organizations, to create market-ready solutions and blueprints for priority industries. "A competitive digital economy depends on local capability, skilled talent and an ecosystem that can turn ideas into solutions with measurable impact", said Nasser Al Nasser, Technology Deputy Minster, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. "The 'Saudi Made, Developed, Deployed' program will bring together technology leaders, Saudi innovators and local delivery expertise to strengthen the Kingdom's AI ecosystem and support its continued economic diversification". Through the initiative, Saudi companies will receive access to Saudi-made infrastructure platforms, hybrid cloud capabilities and engineering expertise provided by HPE, as well as the compute and AI technologies, architecture guidance, model optimisation and developer enablement contributed by Intel. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology will support engagements across the Saudi technology ecosystem and alignment with the Kingdom's digital transformation and AI ambitions. Founding software partners will include ShaheenAI, MOZN and OmniOps, contributing locally developed AI platforms and capabilities. Alnahil Computers will serve as the lead systems integration and deployment partner, supporting the packaging of certified solutions, project delivery, customer onboarding and ongoing operational support. Expanding the 'Saudi Made' portfolio from production to services HPE is expanding its locally produced 'Saudi Made' technology portfolio to include HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 and HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000, giving customers in the region a broader foundation for modernising mission-critical applications, managing growing volumes of data and accelerating AI initiatives. Together, the platforms provide resilient block, file and object storage, the flexibility to scale performance and capacity independently as requirements evolve, and a unified cloud-based management experience through GreenLake. They will help organisations simplify storage operations, support data-intensive workloads and make enterprise data more readily available for AI and analytics, while benefiting from locally produced technology infrastructure. Furthermore, HPE and alfanar have introduced enhancements to the in-country server production and enablement offering, helping customers deploy customised infrastructure solutions across the Middle East. The expanded relationship formalises alfanar's role as HPE's manufacturing and assembly partner in Saudi Arabia, supporting the production, testing and fulfilment of the broader HPE 'Saudi Made' solutions portfolio. Through the new factory services, customers now have the option to have their locally built HPE infrastructure systems pre-integrated, pre-configured and pre-tested. The offering includes component integration, system configuration, testing, certification, quality assurance, logistics coordination, local fulfilment and lifecycle service readiness, helping customers reduce deployment complexity and move more quickly from infrastructure procurement to operational use. "The expansion of the 'Saudi Made' portfolio marks an important step in the development of Saudi Arabia's advanced technology production capabilities", said Abdullah Al Sulami, General Manager Power Solutions, alfanar. "Through our partnership with HPE, we are moving beyond local assembly to provide integrated, tested and application-ready systems that can help customers deploy technology more efficiently, while strengthening local expertise and supply chain resilience". New Saudi Innovation Center will support collaboration and technical validation HPE and Intel also announced plans to establish a Saudi Innovation Center at HPE's new offices in Riyadh. The Center will provide a dedicated environment in which customers, solution providers, startup innovators and ecosystem partners can collaborate, test solutions, conduct technical validation and demonstrate Saudi-developed technologies. It will connect Saudi-made infrastructure with locally developed platforms, software and implementation expertise, while supporting AI talent through technical training and developer enablement. The 'Saudi Made, Developed, Deployed' solutions will be among the outputs supported by the Center, with the broader objective of helping organizations validate practical business outcomes and move new ideas towards deployment and commercialisation. "Saudi Arabia's ambition to build a globally competitive, innovation-led digital economy is creating important opportunities to develop AI solutions closer to the customers and industries they serve", said Taha M. Intel partners with KNLS to bring free AI training to public libraries across Kenya. 2 minutes read Intel, in collaboration with the Kenya National Library Service (KNLS) and the Mandela AI Hub Foundation, is expanding access to artificial intelligence training across Kenya, with free courses set to be offered through libraries nationwide. The programme will introduce Kenyans to the basics of AI and practical ways the technology can be used at work and in everyday life. Training will be available through KNLS branches, with the library service's mobile units helping extend the programme to communities outside major urban centres. Participants will access Intel's AI for Citizens and AI for Current Workforce courses. The AI for Citizens programme is aimed at people without a technical background and covers basic AI concepts, common misconceptions and practical applications. The AI for Current Workforce course targets people who have completed formal education and want to improve their use of technology in the workplace. Although the courses will be delivered online, participants will have access to facilitated sessions at KNLS facilities. The sessions are intended to provide opportunities for discussion, collaboration and peer learning. The Mandela AI Hub Foundation will support the programme through training and community engagement, drawing on its work in promoting AI awareness and skills development across Africa. The initiative comes as demand for digital and AI skills grows among employers. The World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report 2025 found that 86% of employers expect AI and information processing technologies to transform their businesses by 2030. "Through our partnership with KNLS and Mandela AI Hub Foundation, we are making AI education accessible to more Kenyans and helping ensure that individuals, regardless of their background or technical expertise, can participate in the opportunities created by the digital economy," said Susan Mbogo, East and West Africa Regional Manager, Intel Corporation. KNLS Regional Program Manager for Digital Readiness Wafaa Elsawah said the partnership would build on the library service's role in providing access to information and supporting lifelong learning. "The Mandela AI Hub Foundation was established to increase AI awareness across Africa and ensure that more people can participate meaningfully in the continent's digital future. By combining Intel's globally recognized curriculum with KNLS's national reach, we are creating opportunities for all Kenyans to build foundational AI knowledge," noted Oscar Mwai, Executive Director, Mandela AI Hub Foundation. Micron now worth over twice Intel after $9B NAND sale to SK Hynix

Intel sold its NAND memory and storage business to SK Hynix in October 2020 for $9 billion. The deal included Intel's solid-state drive business, NAND components and wafers, and its Dalian factory in China. The sale closed in two stages. SK Hynix paid $7.0 billion at the end of 2021, with the remainder transferring in March 2025 for approximately $1.9 billion. Intel said it would use proceeds for AI, 5G networking, and edge computing investments. Instead, Intel focused on manufacturing through Intel Foundry, which grew revenue 31% year over year to $5.8 billion in the second quarter but still posted a $2.1 billion operating loss. Meanwhile, Micron, America's largest memory company, now has a market value near $1.05 trillion compared with Intel's $464 billion, driven by surging AI-related memory demand.

Saturday, August 29th 2026 The upcoming Nova Lake-S lineup of Intel desktop CPUs has been the subject of strong rumors for a while, and one of them concerned the socket itself. Intel is moving away from LGA1851 and will have a brand-new socket for its upcoming Core Ultra 400 series processors, namely LGA1954. Techpowerup already know about LGA1954 as its records appeared in shipping manifests months ago, and Techpowerup even know what the socket looks like. Nova Lake-S will debut on this new socket, and Intel has now officially confirmed this, though not in the usual way. Intel has just published an internal test tool on its website that connects the LGA1954 socket to Nova Lake-S processors. This listing is for validation hardware and provides some engineering and technical enablement equipment. Nevertheless, the important part is that this is the first time Intel itself has mentioned Nova Lake-S alongside LGA1954 in any sort of official capacity. This is confirmation that Nova Lake-S will indeed launch alongside the LGA1954 socket and Intel 900-series motherboards. Nova Lake is currently expected to launch in Q1 2027. So is the LGA1851 the shortest-lived CPU socket ever? Poor thing shoulda just been aborted.
