Requirements
  • 7–12 years of experience in database development and migration projects.
  • Strong expertise in AWS Database Migration Service (DMS).
  • Solid experience with both relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Amazon DynamoDB).
  • Hands-on knowledge of data modeling, indexing, and data partitioning strategies in NoSQL systems.
  • Deep understanding of DBA-to-application integration, including stored procedures, API interfaces, and ORMs.
  • Experience in performance tuning, schema design, and large-scale data operations.
  • Exposure to cloud database environments like AWS RDS, Aurora, or managed NoSQL services.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage database migration initiatives, especially leveraging AWS DMS for seamless transitions.
  • Design and develop robust, high-performance relational and NoSQL database solutions.
  • Work with MongoDB, Amazon DynamoDB, or similar NoSQL systems for scalable, schema-less data structures.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to enable efficient integration between databases and applications.
  • Optimize queries and ensure performance tuning across relational and NoSQL environments.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to data availability, consistency, and performance.
  • Automate database tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell).
  • Ensure adherence to security, backup, and disaster recovery standards for all databases.
