Requirements
  • Experience in a developer advocacy role, or hands-on work with end users of technical products
  • Programming experience (Python, Go, or JavaScript preferred) and the ability to create and document technical demo projects
  • Experience creating high-quality content, such as blogs, tutorials, and videos for developer audiences
  • Comfort speaking about technical topics in front of an audience
  • Experience working with physical hardware
  • An interest in solving challenging problems with practical solutions
  • Experience mentoring developer advocates and/or other technical mentorship
Responsibilities
  • Creating content and hands-on activities for workshops and conferences/events
  • Working with the community to support them and raise awareness of how the Viam platform can support them in their robotics projects
  • Developing and delivering technical talks
  • Building and documenting sample projects that highlight Viam product capabilities
  • Independently representing Viam in the community through both in-person and virtual channels
  • Providing peer review for code and technical content
  • Mentoring other developer advocates and members of the Viam team
  • Keeping up with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to provide insights to the community and internal teams
