Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar role.
  • Experience using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting employee performance evaluations.
  • Prior experience in lean manufacturing.
  • Experience with conflict resolution and writing and delivering disciplinary actions.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Organizational and leadership skills.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning and manufacturing resource planning systems.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds or more, including lifting items from ground level to waist height and overhead, while following established safety procedures.
  • Ability to adhere to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff to produce manufactured products and organize and monitor workflow.
  • Accomplish manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Complete the production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting processing-flow results to the Director of Manufacturing.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by training and directing personnel on the use of control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and coach employees.
  • Identify efficiency issues and suggest improvements.
  • Enforce safety guidelines and company standards.
  • Ensure production plans are completed on time.
  • Communicate with other manufacturing departments.
  • Identify and troubleshoot production issues and escalate issues to the Director of Manufacturing as needed.
  • Create and justify purchase requisitions for items supporting the manufacturing teams.
