The Sr. Program Manager - IT Projects works closely with the Director of IT Projects and IT Leadership team to strategically plan and lead the portfolio, program, and delivery management functions for the global IT team. Formulating the annual IT portfolio relies on influencing, negotiating and collaborating with IT and business leaders to identify projects and programs that align with business strategy and improves the IT team’s impact on achieving business goals and objectives. This role is responsible for working with project leadership, IT leadership, system owners, delivery managers, and vendor partners to deliver the IT project portfolio and manage project risks. This role relies on a broad understanding and deep experience with Agile and traditional delivery management methodologies to accomplish these goals. Leading, mentoring, and growing a delivery team falls into the responsibility of this manager. This team will focus on excellence in delivery execution, business relationships, project intake, collaborative resource planning, project tools and templates, and coordination with IT Procurement for the IT annual plan and vendor payments.

WHAT YOU’LL DO HERE

• Collaborates with business and IT leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs to support strategic business objectives and goals then develops plans to push strategic projects to completion.
• Develops and maintains the IT Projects Roadmap for their brand and Project Portfolio in alignment to business strategies and the IT framework, vision and mission.
• Reviews and facilitates collaboration to determine timeframes, approaches, lead interdependencies and coordination of staff and staff augmentation.
• Facilitates and supports monitoring of the portfolio budget and POs in collaboration with Finance and IT Leadership.
• Create and maintain a library of communications and communication tools for the project portfolio targeting multiple levels of the organization.
• Facilitates the project intake and prioritization process to enable IT to strategically select the right projects at the right time.
• Ensures that program and project objectives and goals are well understood, communication is clear and timely, and scope, risks, schedule, resources, and documents are well run.
• Develop templates, tools, and coaching for processes to support individual team execution, delivery of projects and continual improvement.
• Enable communications (preferably automated) of project status, risks and constraints with project stakeholders, team members and leadership.
• Facilitate complex requirement gathering exercises while identifying major features and project timelines.
• Oversees sophisticated programs and projects from start to finish in a manner that meets business need, elevates risks and issues impacting successful delivery of projects to the Executive team.
• Oversee projects, Delivery Managers, and facilitates coordination of staffing to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and achieve desired results.
• Provide support and education in Agile and traditional methodologies.
• Develop and foster strategic, collaborative and mutually supportive relationships with project leaders and senior partners.
• Provide expert advice, counsel and recommendations on project matters.
• Assess cross-functional delivery team capability. Offer and provide mentorship, training and support to enhance project/program management capability and improve collaborative development and project results.
• Mentor and develop delivery managers to enhance their professional growth, identifying development opportunities to grow individual strengths and navigating weaknesses, and surfacing interests through one-on-one discussion.
• Make recommendations to strategically place contract delivery managers and participate in their hiring and management

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Bachelors or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of technology or application development delivery management; 3+ years leading people
• Global business, IT & SAP experience highly desired
