About the job

Requirements
  • Proven B2B sales leadership in telematics, fleet technology, software as a service, Internet of Things, or an adjacent connected-hardware-plus-software market, with personal ownership of a revenue number of meaningful scale.
  • A track record of building a team, including hiring, ramping, and managing hunters and farmers rather than only inheriting an existing organization.
  • Demonstrable personal enterprise-level selling ability with complex, multi-stakeholder deals, long sales cycles, and formal procurement.
  • Command of sales processes and customer relationship management discipline, including qualification methodology, forecast hygiene, and pipeline mathematics.
  • Ability to operate as a player-coach in a growing small or medium-sized enterprise without a large support function.
  • Knowledge of the United Kingdom and European commercial fleet landscape, including original equipment manufacturers, leasing and rental, compliance regimes, and channel/reseller dynamics.
  • Experience selling recurring-revenue propositions with a hardware component, including renewals and refresh economics.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot and structured qualification frameworks such as MEDDIC or similar.
  • Experience in private-equity or long-term-hold ownership environments and comfort with portfolio-level reporting.
Responsibilities
  • Design the sales organization, including the hunter/farmer split, role profiles, territories or segment ownership, and headcount plan with a supporting business case.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop the sales team, including setting activity standards, ramp expectations, and a documented playbook for each role.
  • Manage and develop existing sales team members with clear objectives, structured one-to-one meetings, and performance management.
  • Own new-logo acquisition across original equipment manufacturer and dealer programs, mid-market and enterprise fleets, and vertical plays such as cold chain and waste.
  • Personally lead flagship and strategic pursuits, including multi-stakeholder, multi-year original equipment manufacturer and framework opportunities.
  • Build repeatable outbound and channel-sourced pipeline rather than relying on inbound and referral flow.
  • Establish structured account management for the existing base, including retention, contract renewal, hardware refresh cycles, and expansion into adjacent products.
  • Protect and grow strategic original equipment manufacturer and key accounts through executive-level relationship ownership and formal account plans.
  • Drive cross-selling across the Banyan portfolio where LEVL customers and sister-company capabilities overlap.
  • Own the revenue number, forecast accuracy, pipeline coverage ratios, and win-rate improvement, reporting monthly to the CEO and quarterly to the Banyan portfolio team.
  • Enforce a disciplined qualification methodology in HubSpot, requiring every forecast deal to have a scored business case, mapped power and influence, a close plan, and a compelling event.
  • Work with marketing to align lead generation, campaign focus, and partner co-marketing, including Geotab market development funds, to pipeline targets.
  • Contribute to pricing, packaging, and commercial policy, including multi-year and usage-based structures.
  • Sell personally as well as lead while the team is being built and brought to performance.

About the company

Banyan Software is a private investment firm that buys profitable, niche B2B software providers and keeps them under long-term ownership. It focuses on enterprise software with recurring revenue and strong market positions, often from founders seeking stable ownership. The firm does not resell its acquisitions; instead it preserves each company’s legacy, autonomy, brand, and leadership, while offering operational support as needed. Banyan’s portfolio spans industries such as healthcare, education, legal, and public safety, all centered on essential software infrastructure. The company operates with a permanence mindset and aims to create long-term value, positioning itself as a trusted, mission-aligned partner for founders and families who want continuity rather than an exit.

Banyan Software acquires Belgian edtech firm Questi in sixth Benelux takeover

Banyan Software has acquired Questi, a Geel-based educational software provider, marking its third acquisition in Belgium and sixth in the Benelux region. The transaction follows Banyan's recent purchase of healthcare nomenclature specialist Besco. Founded in 2012 by primary school teachers, Questi streamlines lesson planning and tracks student development across Dutch, French, and English. The platform serves over 1,000 primary schools, 25,000 teachers, and 300,000 students across Belgium through three connected modules for teachers, parents, and students. Banyan plans to maintain Questi's existing team under its buy-and-hold model. Co-founder and CEO Lisa Van Houdt said the company sought a partner to support growth opportunities whilst protecting its founder-accessible support approach. Banyan will leverage its international network to help expand Questi's reach.
