About the company

Vana is a Latin American fintech that offers small, fast micro-loans to people underserved by traditional banks, starting in Guatemala and later expanding to the Dominican Republic. Its Android app lets users apply in minutes for loans from Q200 to Q2,500, with cash disbursement at thousands of locations for those without bank accounts. A credit model using alternative data and machine learning assesses borrowers with little or no formal history, and a tiered system lets on-time repayment raise limits and lower rates. The goal is to increase financial inclusion by delivering accessible credit and helping users build credit history through a digital-first lending platform.
