About the job
- A bachelor's degree in a related science, such as geology, chemistry, environmental science, or engineering.
- At least five years of relevant experience in mining, mineral exploration, or environmental consulting.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Design, conduct, and report on geochemical and water quality studies.
- Manage large datasets.
- Develop geochemical source terms for water quality models.
- Conduct fieldwork at remote sites.
- Provide technical input to projects within areas of expertise.
- Write and review technical reports and other communications.
- Develop and coordinate project-specific work plans and assist in proposal development.
- Interface with other technical experts to achieve multidisciplinary project goals.
- Interact and liaise with clients, government regulators, and other project stakeholders.
- Manage special projects that support the company's broad-based needs.
- Mentor junior staff.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- P.Geo. or P.Eng. accreditation or eligibility.
- Experience with ARD/ML and geochemical characterization.
- Familiarity with geochemical modelling, such as PHREEQC.
- Experience using Leapfrog Geo, ArcGIS, and/or QGIS.
