- 10+ years of professional software development experience, with 6+ years focused on .NET.
- Expert-level C# skills and deep knowledge of .NET frameworks, including ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, Web APIs, background services, and gRPC as needed.
- Strong experience with Azure and/or Amazon Web Services, Docker and Kubernetes containers, and serverless patterns.
- Strong experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, caching, and message brokers such as Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Strong experience with OAuth2/OIDC, JSON Web Tokens, secrets management, OpenTelemetry, structured logging, and metrics.
- Ability to make sound technology choices and justify them to engineers and business stakeholders.
- Proven track record leading client engagements and delivering complex projects on time and within scope.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, including comfort in executive conversations.
- Experience mentoring engineers, leading design reviews, and elevating team capability.
- Comfort working in a consulting environment with travel as needed, multi-client context, and shifting priorities.
- Lead end-to-end client engagements from discovery through solution design, delivery, and post-go-live support.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships and act as a trusted technical advisor.
- Facilitate requirements workshops, steer scope and expectations, and negotiate trade-offs.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and foster quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to pre-sales through estimates, proposals, solution narratives, and technical win strategies.
- Design and implement enterprise-grade solutions using modern .NET, ASP.NET Core, and C#.
- Own domain modeling, API design, performance tuning, security, and observability for critical components.
- Define clean architecture, domain-driven design, microservices, and event-driven architecture patterns and enforce coding standards.
- Drive DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native deployments on Azure or Amazon Web Services.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and occasionally write production code to unblock teams.
- Establish quality gates, unit, integration, and load testing strategies, and reliability practices.
- Identify technical risks and lead mitigation plans while ensuring compliance and security best practices.
- Track key performance indicators, gather feedback, and refine solutions over time.
