Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing informatics and utilizing common statistical, spreadsheet, and database management programs.
  • Ability to work independently and receive regular feedback.
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and team-building skills.
  • Persuasive oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and systematize current quality improvement projects for the Making Care Better Initiative, including preventing surgical site infections, antibiotic stewardship, enhancing Operating Room throughput, standardizing treatment protocols to enhance quality of care, and other initiatives.
  • Utilize the Comprehensive Unit-based Safety Program framework to engage frontline staff, educate staff on the science of safety, execute initiatives, and evaluate quality initiatives.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement quality improvement projects related to MSCH's efforts to meet Solutions for Patient Safety hospital-acquired condition bundles.
  • Apply quality improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma to manage projects and systematize continuous improvement with clinical staff.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in health care management, public administration, or public health is preferred.
  • Prior experience or knowledge of quality improvement, quality assurance, or performance improvement is preferred.
