Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required.
Two years of experience are required.
A North Carolina license from the North Carolina Physical Therapy Board of Examiners is required.
Basic Life Support certification through the American Red Cross or an American Heart Association Healthcare Provider course is required.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat all diagnoses, including more complex patients.
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, medical history, and functional limitations to develop individualized treatment plans.
Administer therapeutic exercises and other physical therapy interventions to improve patients' strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and self-management techniques.
Collaborate with others to develop and implement discharge plans and recommendations for continued care.
Monitor and document patients' progress, treatment outcomes, and responses to interventions, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
Collaborate with teams from different departments to ensure coordinated patient care and holistic treatment outcomes.
Assist with the orientation and training of new staff and support improvement of coworkers' performance and skills.

The Physical Therapist II evaluates patients’ conditions, develops personalized treatment plans, and implements therapeutic interventions to optimize functional abilities. This position is able to effectively and efficiently treat all patients in their clinical practice setting and complete all physical therapy job functions with minimal guidance. This position initiates communication amongst inter-disciplinary team members, treats familiar patients with confidence, and advocates for their patients and team. This role requires independent practice in the primary setting and may require mentoring/guidance in complex situations and may have difficulty with cross coverage to other settings.

Essential Job Function

Assists with orientation and training of new staff, demonstrates an ongoing commitment to improve the performance and skill of co-workers.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Required: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy

Experience

Required: 2 years

Licensure/Certification/Listing

Required: North Carolina license by the NCPT Board of Physical Therapy Examiners; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
