Requirements
  • Hands-on experience administering and developing Zendesk, including triggers, automations, custom fields, and application programming interfaces.
  • Experience building artificial intelligence or large-language-model-driven automation, ideally for support, classification, or routing.
  • Working knowledge of customer service workflows and issues.
  • Scripting and integration skills using TypeScript or JavaScript, with familiarity with REST APIs and webhooks.
  • Ability to operate independently without an established playbook and own a production system with limited internal precedent.
  • Fluency in artificial intelligence and a willingness to keep up with rapidly changing technology.
  • Ability to build fast, scrappy solutions in an ambiguous, shifting-scope environment.
  • Startup experience or equivalent comfort with ambiguity and changing priorities.
Responsibilities
  • Own and evolve the artificial intelligence triage system that classifies and routes inbound tickets, along with specialist agents covering returns, order status, warranty and repair, delivered-not-received issues, and brand-specific policies.
  • Build new agents and tune existing agents to handle new issue types and maintain brand voice.
  • Update ticket-routing and classification logic as policies and brands change.
  • Build artificial intelligence quality-assurance agents that review tickets against defined criteria.
  • Resolve live production issues, including duplicate triage executions, agent-handoff errors, duplicate public replies, and tag-matching failures.
  • Respond first when Zendesk issues occur, including routing failures and reporting gaps.
  • Investigate system-adjacent issues such as carrier-scan delays and dispute bugs.
  • Own Zendesk fields, views, tags, triggers, macros, and configuration used for accurate routing and reporting.
  • Align workforce-management routing between scheduling and the omnichannel queue engine, including ticket forecasting and adherence/utilization tracking.
  • Build and maintain the Zendesk MCP server, API keys, and OAuth permissions.
  • Manage account creation, deletion, and permissions.
  • Build and maintain integrations connecting Zendesk with internal systems.
  • Track containment and deflection through tag-based analysis and diagnose root causes when rates decline.
  • Build and maintain Zendesk Explore reporting to provide reliable self-service data for managers.
  • Expand automation coverage to additional ticket types to increase containment.
  • Audit and clean up trigger, automation, and macro libraries.
  • Refine classification and triage accuracy in weak areas.
  • Build monitoring and quality assurance for artificial intelligence agents so failures are identified proactively.
  • Instrument fraud, dispute, and abuse signals into artificial intelligence agents so Zendesk supports Trust & Safety detection work.
Desired Qualifications
  • SQL and experience with a business-intelligence or analytics tool.
  • Additional coding languages beyond TypeScript or JavaScript.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Rhone launched reRhone with Archive on January 28, 2026, expanding managed resale.
  • Archive's February 19, 2026 AI launch improves logistics and merchandising for more brands.
  • Brand partners like New Balance, KEEN, and YETI pushed resale into homepage merchandising in 2026.

What critics are saying

  • Peer-to-peer resale and in-house recommerce teams from brands like Nike compress Archive's wedge by 2027.
  • Resale economics stay fragile; inventory quality, cleaning, and returns punish margins at scale.
  • If large brands build internal resale stacks, Archive becomes a replaceable software vendor.

What makes Archive unique

  • Archive sells brand-owned resale infrastructure, not a generic marketplace, as of 2026.
  • Its 2026 AI layer targets warehouse management, pricing, and shopper guidance.
  • The platform expands across fashion, footwear, fitness, bridal, and kids' categories.
