About the job
- At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
- Master Level 1 Automotive Service Excellence certification or manufacturer certifications is preferred.
- Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
- Ability to meet or exceed hourly goals.
- Ability and aptitude to learn additional skills and processes.
- Professional appearance and effective communication skills.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds.
- Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician’s head.
- Ability to work in tight spaces as required for vehicle repairs.
- Sufficient dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
- Ability to walk and stand for most of the workday.
- Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.
- Diagnose and repair vehicles using automotive knowledge and technical skills.
- Build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
- Troubleshoot guest concerns with the service team and resolve them quickly and effectively.
- Follow and promote standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Communicate guest concerns effectively with the service department.
- Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
- Master Level 1 Automotive Service Excellence certification or manufacturer certifications.
