- Be able to use power tools, hand tools, and power lifts over 50 inches high.
- Be able to work around moving machinery and tolerate marked changes in temperature and humidity and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
- Have the vision abilities required for the job, which may include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
- Be able to operate motor vehicles independently and with a tow.
- Be able to operate technologies and equipment as required by the installation plan.
- Inspect work areas and complete a Job Hazard Analysis before starting work.
- Assist Systems Technicians with installations by evaluating locations and access points, laying out equipment based on wiring plans, and installing cable supports, equipment racks, and trays.
- Under a Systems Technician's direction, install equipment and run and pull cable in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
- Assist Systems Technicians with troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring quick resolutions.
- Complete post-installation paperwork and coordinate inspections with a supervisor.
- Provide customer service to promote customer satisfaction.
- Experience in structured cabling, fiber, CCTV, card access, intrusion systems, or fire alarms.
