About the job

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
  • Production machine learning experience with time-series or sequential data, including training, deploying, and monitoring models at scale and understanding stationarity, regime change, data leakage, and differences between backtests and live performance.
  • Experience applying deep learning to temporal or representation problems, such as sequence models or embeddings and similarity over time-series data, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to reason about what data indicates and what data should be used in a model.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with large-scale datasets.
  • At least five years of software-engineering experience, primarily in Python, with production practices including version control, automated testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery, and Docker, and familiarity with an enterprise cloud data platform such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery under access-control and governance constraints.
  • Real depth in at least a couple of the described areas across deep learning, large language model agent systems, and classical machine learning.
  • Experience with deep learning, including PyTorch, custom training loops, architecture design and experimentation, multi-GPU distributed machine learning, experiment tracking, and model lifecycle management.
  • Experience building with large language model application programming interfaces in production, prompt, context, and harness engineering, agent orchestration, or full-stack development using coding agents.
  • Experience with time-series and sequential modeling, including temporal convolutional networks, transformers, time-contrastive learning, or similar temporal-data approaches, and classical time-series modeling such as ARIMA.
  • Experience with classical machine learning, including scikit-learn, weakly supervised clustering, anomaly detection, feature engineering, or production decision-system model evaluation.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate on machine-learning experiments involving order-book analysis, alert detection, and sequential financial data.
  • Develop and operate production AI agent systems, applying machine-learning engineering discipline to nondeterministic large-language-model software-development workflows.
  • Own and evolve the team's machine-learning training and deployment infrastructure on Snowflake.
  • Build production-quality data pipelines to process terabytes of daily financial-market data.
  • Raise engineering standards through rigorous code review, architecture guidance, and mentorship of junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Design and develop production-quality, test-driven Python code.
  • Develop explainability and process-compliance solutions for artificial intelligence and machine learning.
  • Track and evaluate machine-learning model performance across training, validation, inference, and monitoring.
  • Work in on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Work closely with complementary engineering teams.
  • Produce clear and thorough documentation, including machine-learning proposals, experiment specifications, technical designs, and testing scenarios.
  • Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to technical and end-user audiences.
Desired Qualifications
  • Annual incentive compensation and, where applicable, participation in long-term equity programs are potential compensation components.

About the company

Cboe adds $550M to share buyback capacity and keeps $0.86 quarterly dividend

Cboe Global Markets has declared a fourth quarter 2026 cash dividend of $0.86 per share, payable on December 15 to investors of record on November 30. Its board also approved an extra $550 million of share repurchase capacity, with no set expiry. The exchange operator reported second quarter net revenue of $731.6 million. The buyback gives it flexibility over the timing and method of repurchases. Cboe earns its money from options, futures and FX trading, along with market data and access fees. It posted a 24.1% return on equity, though forecasts point to 4.1% annual earnings growth and declining revenue. Community fair value estimates range from $143 to $328 per share.

Cboe shares jump 12.1% as S&P 500 options licence extended to 2051 and KPI binaries planned

Cboe Global Markets extended its exclusive licence for S&P 500 Index options with S&P Dow Jones Indices through 2051. The 25-year renewal reduces the risk of losing its flagship index options business. Cboe also plans to launch binary contracts tied to company-specific key performance indicators. They would initially cover 23 major US-listed stocks and be cleared through Cboe Clear U.S., subject to regulatory approval by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Cboe shares are up 12.1% after the announcements. The KPI contracts look incremental rather than a near-term earnings driver. Competition and fee pressure remain risks to Cboe's core economics.

Both exchanges are expanding beyond core offerings. Cboe recently launched Cboe Predicts, featuring binary options on the Mini-S&P 500 Index. It's also developing company-specific key performance indicator contracts, pending regulatory approval.
