Food and Beverage Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented F&B Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Sepang, Malaysia. In this pivotal supervisory role, you will oversee food and beverage operations, lead a dedicated team, and ensure exceptional guest experiences through efficient service delivery and operational excellence. You will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards of service, hygiene, and customer satisfaction while driving team performance and fostering a collaborative work environment.

• Ensure efficient, friendly, and professional food and beverage service is provided to all guests, while maintaining a customer-focused approach to exceed expectations
• Supervise and mentor team members, providing coaching and support to develop their skills in menu knowledge, dietary requirements, allergen awareness, and beverage recommendations
• Establish and maintain comprehensive systems to protect, control, and accurately record food service equipment, conduct regular stock takes, and document any breakages or discrepancies
• Develop and implement weekly cleaning schedules for food service areas to achieve and maintain the highest hygiene and sanitation standards
• Ensure team members are knowledgeable about current promotions and are empowered to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining service quality
• Oversee accurate guest billing following hotel procedures, verify correct charges are posted, and resolve any billing discrepancies with transparency and professionalism
• Maintain clean and organized presentation of bar and restaurant areas by implementing and monitoring opening, closing, and daily operational procedures
• Coordinate setup and reset of conference and function activities as required, ensuring seamless execution and guest satisfaction
• Assist with roster preparation and scheduling, ensuring cost-effective and suitable employee levels are maintained while meeting operational demands
• Analyze operational metrics and guest feedback to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions that enhance service delivery
• Foster a supportive and inclusive team environment that encourages open communication, professional development, and shared accountability

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

• Minimum 2 years of relevant supervisory or operational experience in a food and beverage outlet or hospitality environment
• Comprehensive understanding of menu items, dietary requirements, and allergen information
• Proven experience in staff supervision, training, and team leadership
• Proficiency in Point of Sale (POS) systems and basic financial management
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail
• Problem-solving skills and ability to handle guest concerns with empathy and professionalism

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• Food Safety Certification or equivalent training
• Experience in a hotel or upscale dining establishment
• Knowledge of wine pairing and advanced beverage service
• Experience with inventory management software
• Bilingual capabilities (English and Malay)
• Demonstrated track record of improving operational efficiency and guest satisfaction metrics
