Valon builds ValonOS, software that runs mortgage servicing, the behind-the-scenes work of collecting home loan payments and handling missed ones, with AI agents built into a single system. Unusually for a software maker, it built ValonOS by running its own licensed mortgage servicer, then sold that business to Carrington Mortgage Services in 2026. The system keeps each loan's records, payments, tasks, and audit trail in one place, and its AI agents answer homeowner emails, apply payments, and review escrow accounts for taxes and insurance under the same controls. Servicers pay Valon recurring fees to run their loans on it. Valon was founded in 2019 and is based in New York City.

Valon Technologies has raised $150 million in Series D funding at a $2.3 billion valuation, doubling its previous valuation. Ribbit Capital joined as a new investor, with participation from existing backers including Andreessen Horowitz. The company has developed ValonOS, an AI-native operating system for mortgage servicing that replaces legacy mainframe systems. Within six months of launching, Valon secured over $200 million in contracted annual recurring revenue. ValonOS will power one in six outstanding US mortgages, with clients including Newrez, Carrington Mortgage Services, and ServiceMac. Two of the ten largest US servicers are already live on the platform. Founded in 2019, Valon initially built and operated its own full-scale servicing business before offering ValonOS to the industry. The funding will accelerate product development and expand deployment to major servicers. The company plans to expand beyond mortgage into commercial, personal, auto, and student lending sectors.
Copperlane, a New York City-based developer of an AI-native autonomous mortgage origination platform, has raised $4.1 million in seed funding led by TQ Ventures. Y Combinator, US News Digital Ventures, Mercor and Valon Mortgage also participated. Founded by Athan Zhang and Brianna Lin, Copperlane develops "Penny", an autonomous AI mortgage loan officer that processes borrower assets, credit files and income patterns to generate instant underwriting recommendations and draft compliance explanations. The Y Combinator Winter 2026 company launched its automated processing engine in June 2026. The funds will be used to scale operations, expand the AI loan officer's capabilities and accelerate development of software that shortens pre-approval timelines.
Carrington will adopt ValonOS and acquire Valon Mortgage, adding about 800,000 loans as both target Ginnie Mae servicing modernization.
Carrington Mortgage Services, a leading Ginnie Mae servicer, has formed a strategic partnership with Valon Technologies to adopt ValonOS as its core servicing platform. As part of the agreement, Carrington will acquire Valon Mortgage in collaboration with a private equity partner, adding approximately 800,000 loans to its portfolio. ValonOS is an AI-native operating system designed to consolidate workflows, loan data and compliance logic for mortgage servicing. The partnership combines Carrington's government lending expertise with Valon's modern technology platform to enhance efficiency in Ginnie Mae servicing. For Valon, which has raised over $290 million from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, the transaction allows the company to shift focus from operating as a mortgage servicer to becoming a technology provider for the broader mortgage industry.
Rithm Capital Corporation has announced an expansion of its long-standing partnership with Valon Technologies, further integrating Valon’s AI-native mortgage servicing platform into operations at Newrez, a Rithm subsidiary. The expanded collaboration is aimed at modernizing mortgage servicing systems and enhancing customer experience for more than four million homeowners.
