Transamerica, Great Lakes Advisors expand partnership to managed accounts.

Transamerica, Great Lakes Advisors expand partnership to managed accounts. Advisors in Transamerica's network will now have access to Great Lakes Advisors' Large Cap Value UMA and SMA strategy. Elaine Misonzhnik, Senior Editor, Investments, Wealth Management September 3, 2026 Transamerica Asset Management has expanded its existing relationship with Great Lakes Advisors, a subsidiary of Wintrust Financial Corp., by soliciting the company's Large Cap Value UMA and SMA strategy. The expanded partnership will allow Transamerica to broaden the selection of managed account products for advisors, while Great Lakes Advisors will increase its access to intermediary channels by leveraging Transamerica's distribution scale and advisor relationships. Great Lakes Advisors' Large Cap Value strategy is available in a managed account through LPL Financial, Charles Schwab, Morgan Stanley and Envestnet, among other platforms. Advisors are increasingly relying on managed accounts to construct portfolios for wealthier clients. According to research from Cerulli Associates, assets in SMAs, UMAs and related accounts are growing at a double-digit rate annually and are projected to reach $31.8 trillion by 2028. As a result, there has been a proliferation of new SMAs and UMAs in recent months, with Fidelity, Citi Wealth, Vestmark and Envestnet, among others, either launching new or expanding existing SMA and UMA capabilities. "We believe large cap value remains an important component of a diversified equity portfolio, and by offering advisors multiple ways to access the strategy, we are making it easier for them to implement investment solutions that meet the evolving needs of their clients," said Marijn Smit, CEO of Transamerica Asset Management, in a statement. According to a statement from Tom Kiley, CEO of Great Lakes Advisors, "In an environment where equity allocations have grown increasingly concentrated, we believe disciplined large cap value exposure is an essential diversifier for advisors and their clients. Partnering with a firm of Transamerica's reach and quality allows us to deliver that discipline to far more investors, and we're excited to keep deepening the relationship between our two organizations." Senior Editor, Investments, Wealth Management Elaine Misonzhnik is Senior Editor, Investments at Wealth Management, focusing on alternative investments. She has over 20 years of experience as a business reporter and editor, including for Retail Traffic and National Real Estate Investor magazines. Prior to her current role, she was the Executive Editor at Wealth Management Real Estate, which covered the intersection of commercial real estate and institutional investment.

How the Transamerica Netchex integration works.

How the Transamerica Netchex integration works. The Netchex integration with Transamerica uses open API and webhook technology to enable a two-way data exchange between the two platforms. 401(k) enrollment, contribution changes, eligibility tracking, and loan management sync automatically, which eliminates manual retirement plan data transfers and helps employers keep payroll deductions accurate and timely. * 401(k) enrollment and contribution elections flow between Netchex and Transamerica without manual re-entry. * Eligibility tracking stays consistent across both systems as employees become eligible for the plan. * Loan management and payroll deductions sync automatically, helping employers maintain compliance with retirement plan regulations. Why Netchex is the best payroll and HR solution for companies that use Transamerica. Companies already working with Transamerica don't need to choose between a strong retirement plan provider and a strong payroll and HR platform. The Transamerica Netchex integration means your team gets accurate, automatic data sync instead of juggling spreadsheets or re-keying contribution changes every pay period. Beyond the integration itself, Netchex is built to be the strongest payroll and HR partner for companies like yours. Netchex is ranked #1 on G2 for service, with a 98% customer satisfaction score and 90% of support calls answered by a real, US-based person in under a minute. That's the difference between a vendor that just connects to Transamerica and a partner that actually backs up the connection. That combination of dependable technology and unmatched service is why the average Netchex customer stays for 10 or more years, and why companies running Transamerica retirement plans choose Netchex as their payroll and HR system of record.
