KnowBe4 | Published 12 Aug 2026 New "Secret Agent" themed campaign-in-a-box equips organisations with training module and tabletop exercises to educate employees to combat cybercrime KnowBe4, the leader in digital workforce security, securing both AI agents and humans, today released its free resource kit in support of Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2026. This year's toolkit casts employees as "Secret Agents" in the elite Workforce Risk Division and provides IT leaders with tools to build organisational resilience against evolving cyber threats. Observed every October, Cybersecurity Awareness Month is an international initiative led by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the National Cybersecurity Alliance. The campaign provides organisations worldwide an opportunity to strengthen their security culture by driving awareness around social engineering, artificial intelligence threats, data security and active threat reporting. "Cybersecurity Awareness Month is an opportunity for the security community to present engaging, new content to their users and drive home the importance of staying secure, even if they have existing security awareness training," says Erich Kron, CISO advisor at KnowBe4. "With cybercriminals adopting AI-driven tactics such as deepfakes and advanced social engineering, threats are continuously evolving and organisations need fresh, engaging ways to keep users vigilant. This year's kit turns security awareness into an interactive mission, empowering employees to see themselves as active defenders." "Cybersecurity Awareness Month is a reminder that cybersecurity is more than an IT issue," said Lisa Plaggemier, executive director, National Cybersecurity Alliance. "Cybersecurity skills are life skills. Every person, family, and organisation has a role to play in creating a safer digital world. We're grateful to partners like KnowBe4 who help expand the reach of this important work and make it possible to equip more people with practical guidance." KnowBe4's eighth annual Cybersecurity Awareness Month resource kit organises October into four week-long cyber missions, focusing on phishing & social engineering, AI safety & deepfakes, data security & passwords, and incident reporting. Along the way, employees will meet four Workforce Risk Division specialists, each with unique skills to tackle the cyber threats of the week. The kit includes: * Four "Workforce Risk Division Specialist" character cards/posters, plus additional posters and digital signage assets available in multiple languages * Four tabletop exercise documents to test team skills in real-life scenarios across multiple common cybersecurity risk types * Access to a curated collection of security awareness training videos and interactive modules from KnowBe4's award-winning training library * Resources to help plan activities, including the Cybersecurity Awareness Month Resource Kit Strategy Dossier and a Weekly Planner * A top-secret Mission Brief on a KnowBe4 free tool * Access to two of KnowBe4's newest on-demand webinars and whitepapers Feedback from a KnowBe4 customer highlights the value of the Cybersecurity Awareness Month kit in raising awareness: "I'm very excited for this! Cybersecurity expert KnowBe4 celebrates anniversary with sustainability initiatives.

Cybersecurity expert KnowBe4 celebrates anniversary with sustainability initiatives. Digital workforce security provider KnowBe4 will be sponsoring 16 families of coral and adopting 16 beehives to celebrate the organisation's 16th anniversary. Continuing its broader commitment to support and care for the environment, Knowbe4 will celebrate its anniversary by sponsoring 16 distinct taxonomic families of highly diverse and ecologically important reef-building coral. In addition, it is adopting 16 beehives throughout the US, UK, South Africa and Germany - one for each year it has been operating. KnowBe4 has been adopting beehives since 2021 and uses the honey as gifts for employees and customers. From signing The Climate Pledge to slashing single-use plastics across 14 global offices and embedding hands-on stewardship into its culture, KnowBe4 was named a winner in the 2026 Sustainability Awards by Business Intelligence Group, awarded a Sustainability Leadership Award. To-date, KnowBe4's sustainability initiatives have delivered a reduction in emissions year-on-year for five years, a drop in per-employee waste at HQ of an estimated 27 per cent, and more than 57,000 trees planted since 2010. Simultaneously, KnowBe4's international Green Team has expanded to more than 100 members across all 12 operating countries, cementing environmental stewardship directly into the corporate DNA. "Annually, our anniversary is an opportunity to renew our promise to the planet. What began as a gesture, ten thousand trees planted for our 10th anniversary, has grown into one of our most cherished annual traditions," said Lael Giebel, director of global sustainability and culture at KnowBe4. "This year, we're backing some truly special projects that bridge the gap between land and sea, helping nature do what it does best: regenerate. Thank you to each of our employees for making our legacy one of growth, purpose, and lasting impact." The 16 species of coral are amongst the most threatened of all coral species and occur in tropical shallow waters worldwide. Shallow water coral reefs support an estimated 25 per cent of marine life making their protection critical to global marine biodiversity. KnowBe4 is partnering with the Florida Aquarium and its partner IUCN (International Union for the Conservation of Nature) to assist coral conservation efforts where they are needed most, through a group of specialists made up of coral experts from around the world. Twelve of the 16 beehives adopted are from the Pinellas Beekeepers Association (PBA). It is estimated that 16 healthy hives contain between 640,000 and 1,280,000 bees, with 960,000 bees being the most realistic target during the peak honey flow. KnowBe4 is proud to add 960,000 bees to the world population and give them a safe home. KnowBe4 launches Real-Time Coaching to combat social engineering at moment of risk

KnowBe4, the global leader in digital workforce security, has launched enhanced Real-Time Coaching capabilities that deliver instant security tips when risky behaviour occurs. The announcement was made on National Social Engineering Day at the Black Hat Conference. The new feature addresses the growing threat of social engineering attacks, which are involved in 62% of breaches according to the 2026 Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report, up from 2025. AI-powered phishing, vishing, and deepfakes are making these attacks increasingly difficult to detect. Real-Time Coaching provides immediate feedback at the point of risk, rather than reactive training after incidents. This approach addresses the problem that people forget up to 90% of what they learn within 30 days. The capability is available to customers as part of SAT Advanced and Foundation packages.

KnowBe4's Real-Time Coaching stops Social Engineering at moment of risk.

KnowBe4's Real-Time Coaching stops Social Engineering at moment of risk. New capability launched on National Social Engineering Day reinforces safe behavior to combat threats KnowBe4, the global leader in digital workforce security, securing both AI agents and humans, today announced the rollout of enhanced Real-Time Coaching capabilities, delivering an instant, bite-sized SecurityTip at the exact moment risky behavior occurs. Social engineering attacks continue to be one of the most effective ways bad actors bypass technical defenses, and they are getting harder to catch. According to the 2026 Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report, the human factor is involved in 62% of breaches, an increase from 2025. Next-generation attacks like AI-powered phishing, vishing, and deepfakes make it harder than ever for employees, and now AI agents, to recognize when they are being manipulated. "Social engineering is effective because attackers exploit decision making and behavior, whether in human employees or AI agents," said Greg Kras, chief product officer, KnowBe4. "With Real-Time Coaching, we are giving security teams a way to intervene in the moment, shifting from reactive training after an incident to active, nudge-based coaching right at the point of risk." People forget as much as 90% of what they learn within 30 days, which is why annual training alone cannot change behavior. Real-Time Coaching closes that gap by delivering immediate feedback the moment risky behavior occurs, built with the same 15+ years of behavioral data and risk intelligence that powers the KnowBe4 Platform. These new capabilities help create secure habits, reduce repeat incidents, and get factored into an organization's Risk Score(TM). Customers praise the ability to offer coaching at the moment of risk, with one mid-market staffing and recruiting agency saying, "The ability to deliver live coaching via email, teams, or chat at the moment of action is fantastic." KnowBe4 launches Real-Time Coaching on National Social Engineering Day, which is officially recognized by the National Day Calendar annually on August 6. The day aims to educate individuals and organizations about the risks associated with social engineering tactics used in cyberattacks. Real-Time Coaching is now available to customers as part of SAT Advanced and Foundation. Visit its booth at the Black Hat Conference, #2439, to learn more about Real-Time Coaching, how to combat social engineering and visit knowbe4.com/products/real-time-coaching. KnowBe4 names Andrew Kanzer as Chief Growth Officer.

KnowBe4 names Andrew Kanzer as Chief Growth Officer. Wed, 5th Aug 2026 (Today) KnowBe4 has appointed Andrew Kanzer as Chief Growth Officer, adding him to the cybersecurity company's leadership team after senior roles at Xero, Intuit and PayPal. Reporting to Chief Executive Officer Bryan Palma, Kanzer will oversee KnowBe4's global go-to-market strategy. The role is designed to bring together sales and other commercial functions as the company expands across international markets. His appointment brings another senior fintech executive into the cybersecurity sector at a time when software groups are seeking leaders with experience scaling global operations. Kanzer has spent more than two decades developing growth and sales models for large software businesses. Most recently, he was Managing Director at cloud accounting software company Xero. Earlier, he led Intuit's mid-market and financial services sales organisations and served as Vice President, Global SMB and Mid Market Sales at PayPal. Those roles gave Kanzer experience across accounting software, financial technology and payments, as well as managing sales teams across multiple regions. That background is expected to support KnowBe4's efforts to sharpen commercial execution and enter new markets. Leadership move KnowBe4 is best known for security awareness training and attack simulation tools that help businesses train staff against phishing and other social engineering threats. It has broadened its offering to include security tools for both human users and AI agents, reflecting a wider shift in how cybersecurity vendors define workplace risk. KnowBe4 says it serves more than 70,000 organisations worldwide. Its products include training, collaboration security and agent security, alongside a risk-scoring system built on behavioural data gathered over 15 years. Palma described Kanzer as a leader with a record of driving growth inside large organisations. "Andrew has spent his career proving that global organisations can grow with the speed and disruption of a startup," said Bryan Palma, Chief Executive Officer at KnowBe4. "His relentless drive and operational vision will be key as we extend our market leadership position." Kanzer said the company was well placed in a market being reshaped by AI and cyber risk. "The intersection of human behaviour, AI agents, and cybersecurity is the most exciting frontier in tech today," said Andrew Kanzer, Chief Growth Officer at KnowBe4. "KnowBe4 is already the market leader, and I look forward to leveraging data-driven sales architectures and innovative go-to-market strategies to help organisations globally secure their digital workforces." Market context The appointment comes as security software companies adapt their products and sales strategies to the spread of generative AI and automated software agents in the workplace. Vendors are increasingly framing cyber risk as a mix of employee behaviour, machine activity and collaboration tools, creating pressure to rethink both product design and commercial positioning. For KnowBe4, hiring an executive with a background in software expansion and sales operations suggests a focus on commercial discipline as much as product messaging. Kanzer's earlier roles point to experience taking established software businesses into new customer segments and building sales structures around broader platform offerings rather than single products. That could matter as cybersecurity providers compete for larger contracts and try to sell across a wider set of business functions. Buyers are under pressure to manage phishing, insider risk, AI misuse and collaboration security within the same budget cycle, pushing vendors to present more unified offerings. Kanzer now takes on that task at a company that built its name on training workers to recognise threats but is seeking a broader role in digital workforce security.
