Requirements
  • A Medical Office Administration Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in an office setting is required.
  • Must be able to work weekends.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of calls while delivering exceptional customer service is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook, with the ability to learn proprietary software, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with community personal support workers and nurses, and assist with scheduling and coordinating personal support worker and nurse services.
  • Liaise with clients, staff, and community partners.
  • Act as a problem solver for clients and respond to inquiries from the Local Health Integration Network and employees.
  • Report client and staff concerns to the Home Support Supervisor.
  • Liaise with occupational health representatives regarding client care.
  • Collect and enter all pertinent client data into the computer system.
  • Provide lists and schedules and perform other administrative duties to support the personal support worker and nurse program.
Desired Qualifications
  • Healthcare industry experience is considered an asset.
  • Additional language skills are considered an asset.
