Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree and experience in curriculum design, instructional design, learning and development, education, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities, establishing project plans, managing timelines, coordinating stakeholders, following up, holding others accountable, and delivering high-quality work within established deadlines.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • The ability to engage program leadership, subject matter experts, and faculty to understand evolving needs and requirements.
  • The ability to solve problems creatively, balance and shift priorities, anticipate and respond to issues, and manage change effectively.
  • High proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Teams.
  • The ability to analyze, aggregate, and interpret data and create presentations to show findings and inform decisions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to edit and format content accurately.
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of curriculum development principles, including constructive alignment and mapping, educational standards, and instructional design models.
  • Familiarity with relevant provincial, federal, and international accessibility standards, including the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
  • A strong understanding of pedagogical theories, teaching methodologies, and assessment practices.
  • Familiarity with using artificial intelligence tools responsibly for research, content development, analysis, and productivity while maintaining human oversight and quality standards.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and faculty to understand the goals of new and existing academic programs.
  • Analyze and translate program goals into comprehensive curricula, including learning outcomes, assessments, and content.
  • Support program-level curriculum mapping to internal and external standards.
  • Integrate innovative and effective instructional strategies and resources into curriculum design to enhance student engagement and achievement.
  • Review curricular needs and recommend instructional and assessment strategies that account for regulatory requirements and align with program and course learning outcomes.
  • Model accessible, authentic, and culturally responsive pedagogies.
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, alignment, accessibility, and compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
  • Stay current with educational research, pedagogical trends, and advancements in curriculum design, and share relevant insights with the team.
  • Analyze existing curricula and available data, including student and stakeholder feedback, to identify areas for improvement or revision.
  • Track and report on the progress of curriculum development and renewal projects.
  • Proactively identify and communicate risks to project timelines and deliverables.
  • Build productive relationships with faculty, subject matter experts, and academic leaders while guiding projects forward, managing competing priorities, and helping stakeholders stay aligned and engaged.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master's degree.
  • Experience in post-secondary education.
