  • A bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business Management, Agricultural Development, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Studies, Agronomy (Crops/Soils), Animal Science, Equine Science, Veterinary Science, Forestry, General Agriculture, Horticulture, Natural Resource Management, Poultry Science, Range Management, Sustainable Agriculture, Precision Agriculture, or a related field, plus two years of related work experience.
  • Alternatively, an associate's degree plus four years of related work experience.
  • Hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator's License in the teaching content area under the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction Career and Technical Education manual.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as an adviser or co-adviser for the pathway-aligned Career and Technical Student Organization.
  • Use traditional and alternative assessment strategies aligned with Wake County Public School System curriculum and standards to support continuous learner development.
  • Ensure effective communication with students, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Engage in planned continuous professional quality improvement for self, the school, and the school district.
  • Use techniques and strategies that promote and enhance students' critical and creative thinking capabilities.
  • Implement classroom instructional strategies and materials that reflect each student's culture, learning styles, special needs, and socioeconomic background.
  • Use knowledge of learning and development to establish a classroom management system that maintains appropriate regulation.
  • Create a positive learning environment supporting active learning, social interaction, cooperative learning, self-motivation, and students' intellectual, personal, and social development.
  • Plan, align, implement, and evaluate effective instruction and assessment in varied learning environments.
  • Collaborate with peers, parents, the community, and other stakeholders to improve students' classroom educational experiences.
  • Integrate appropriate technology into teaching and learning processes.
  • Ensure adherence to good safety procedures.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
