About the job

Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in data or AI engineering, including at least 2 years specifically building or productizing generative AI or large language model solutions in production.
  • Deep understanding of LangChain or LlamaIndex, including retrieval-augmented generation and agentic workflows.
  • Expertise in prompt engineering, agentic concepts, memory, and tool management.
  • Strong coding skills in Python, including FastAPI, asyncio, and Pydantic, and in at least one typed language: Java, C#, or Go.
  • Experience in machine learning, preferably in manufacturing, IoT, or edge AI.
  • Expertise in Azure cloud services for AI or an equivalent platform.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GPU containers, CUDA drivers, and performance profiling.
  • Proven experience translating business value metrics into technical architecture.
  • Fluency with DevOps and infrastructure as code, including Azure DevOps, Terraform or Bicep, and GitHub Actions.
Responsibilities
  • Define generative AI architecture blueprints, design guidelines, and model cards aligned with company data privacy, operational technology and information technology convergence, and cost models.
  • Establish enterprise patterns for retrieval-augmented generation, model fine-tuning, agentic workflows, security isolation, and cost governance.
  • Build and operate a reusable generative AI platform on Azure using AKS, Azure Machine Learning, and Azure OpenAI; provision it through infrastructure as code using Terraform or Bicep and manage it through DevOps pipelines such as Azure DevOps.
  • Integrate and orchestrate generative AI building blocks, including commercial and open-source large language model APIs, MCP tooling, frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex, vector databases, and Azure AI Search indexes.
  • Partner with functional subject matter experts in quality, maintenance, logistics, and research and development to turn high-value ideas into production generative AI solutions.
  • Guide teams through the full generative AI application lifecycle: problem framing, data acquisition, prompt and model design, human-in-the-loop validation, deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement.
  • Document reusable patterns and feed lessons learned back into the platform backlog to accelerate subsequent use-case onboarding.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in machine learning in manufacturing, IoT, or edge AI is preferred.
