Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Hold a current Georgia Registered Nurse license.
  • Have at least three years of clinical experience in an outpatient or ambulatory setting and clinical expertise.
  • Have at least one year of management responsibility in nursing administration.
  • Have experience in clinical education or competency development.
  • Hold Certification as a Nurse Educator (CNE).
  • Know the principles and practices of work safety standards.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to build morale and lead mission-driven teams.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing daily nursing operations across multispecialty outpatient clinics.
  • Integrate Nurse Educator responsibilities, including onboarding, training, competency validation, and specialty-specific education.
  • Provide operational, regulatory, and quality support to the nursing leadership team.
  • Support consistent workflows across all specialties and ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Lead or support daily huddles and communicate operational priorities.
  • Identify workflow issues and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Support provider readiness, rooming efficiency, and clinical coordination.
  • Support compliance readiness under the Director of Clinical Quality, ensuring nursing workflows align with Joint Commission, Federal Tort Claims Act, Health Resources and Services Administration, Patient Centered Medical Home, Operational Site Visit, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and state requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure accurate documentation, logs, and competency records.
  • Assist with audits, regulatory surveys, and corrective action planning.
  • Ensure providers receive consistent support from nursing and clinical support teams.
  • Address provider concerns related to workflow, staffing, or performance in partnership with the Director of Nursing.
  • Promote strong provider-nursing collaboration across all specialties.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, coaching, counseling, corrective action discussions, and performance reviews as part of the leadership team.
  • Reinforce expectations for communication, morale-building, professionalism, and customer service.
  • Provide leadership support to Nurse Managers, Clinical Managers, and Clinical Supervisors.
  • Partner with all departments to ensure seamless patient flow.
  • Participate in cross-department initiatives that improve patient experience and operational efficiency.
