About the company

AssistIQ provides a SaaS platform for hospital supply chain management, focusing on surgical and procedural supplies. Its AI-powered system uses computer vision via a tablet camera (AIQ Capture) to identify supplies at the point of use, replacing manual barcode scans and paper logs, and it leverages the AIQ Supply Cloud database of over four million products for real-time consumption data. The platform integrates with existing hospital systems such as EHRs (like Epic) and ERPs to deliver actionable data to clinical, financial, and supply chain teams, helping to improve charge capture and reduce waste. The company differentiates itself with a clinician-led origin, a high recognition rate, and strong data integration to lower disposable-supply costs and boost perioperative efficiency across North America.

What believers are saying

  • Allina Health reported 99%+ capture accuracy across 3,000 cases by February 2026.
  • Allina saw 32% higher billed amounts in EP and 171% higher in Cath Lab.
  • Owensboro Health and Northwell Health validate multi-hospital demand beyond Montreal.

What critics are saying

  • Mobile Aspects and Epic already own hospital workflow entry points today.
  • Hospitals face lengthy implementations across OR, Cath Lab, and enterprise systems.
  • If Allina or Northwell stalls, AssistIQ loses proof for North American scaling.

What makes AssistIQ unique

  • AIQ Capture integrates with Epic, Workday, and HL7 workflows in real time.
  • Allina Health expanded AssistIQ across 100+ rooms by September 2025.
  • Battery Ventures joined the board after leading the $11.5 million Series A.

AssistIQ wins Newsweek's 2026 AI Impact Health award for Health Care Operations.

AssistIQ wins Newsweek's 2026 AI Impact Health award for Health Care Operations. FinanceWire Sep. 24, 2026, 04:07 PM DUBLIN, OH, September 24th, 2026, FinanceWire Newsweek recognized AssistIQ for its use of computer vision and AI to automatically capture the supplies, implants, and tissue used in ORs and procedural areas, giving providers trusted data to improve margins, drive operational efficiency, and redirect nurse and technician time from administrative tasks to patient care. DUBLIN, OH, September 24, 2026 (EZ Newswire) - AssistIQ has been named a winner of the 2026 Newsweek AI Impact Health Awards in the Health Care Operations category, recognizing the company's work with health systems to improve the accuracy of perioperative and procedural product data and turn it into measurable clinical, operational, and financial results. As health systems invest in AI, the quality of the data underneath it matters. Decisions affecting patient care, inventory, billing, and future demand all depend on having an accurate record of what was used. Yet documentation errors average 17% during procedures and rise to 38.4% when recording is delayed by more than 20 minutes - illustrating how quickly gaps can emerge when product documentation depends on clinicians manually capturing information during or after a case. AssistIQ closes the gap between what happens in the room and what the hospital's systems record. Using computer vision, AI, and proprietary product datasets, the platform recognizes supplies, implants, and tissue as they are used, including products that may be missing from a hospital's ERP item master. AssistIQ developed its approach alongside nurses, technicians, and health system leaders to understand where product information was lost and how to remove work from clinical and operations teams. Instead of manually entering each product, clinicians verify information captured by AI. That single interaction supports the product documentation nurses are required to complete, along with charge capture, inventory depletion, expiry and recall tracking, and case reconciliation through existing EHR and ERP workflows. Across deployments with Northwell Health, Allina Health, Owensboro Health, ProMedica and other health systems, AssistIQ has delivered measurable clinical, operational, and financial results. The platform has achieved greater than 98% product-capture accuracy across operating rooms and procedural areas, including cath and EP labs, while helping nurses and technicians save more than 15 minutes per case. Health systems have also seen improvements in safety, revenue capture, and inventory accuracy. One organization reduced tissue-related errors by 90% within two weeks of going live, while another reported a 24% increase in gross revenue and a greater than 90% reduction in inventory-depletion errors over one year. In cath and EP labs, chargeable product capture has increased by as much as 364%. The impact can also be immediate at the point of care. In one recent case, AssistIQ alerted a nurse that an implant being captured had expired, allowing it to be replaced before implantation. Across deployments, partners are identifying operational improvements within weeks and measurable financial impact within months. "Accurate product data changes what a health system can do," said Lisa Israelovitch, CEO and co-founder of AssistIQ. "It gives nurses more time to focus on patients and helps teams make better decisions about the products they need, the care they deliver, and the resources they use. Our partners have shown that these benefits can extend across specialties and locations. This recognition reflects their leadership and the measurable results we've achieved together." The Newsweek AI Impact Health Awards celebrate artificial intelligence solutions in health care that achieve measurable results. Winners are recognized for innovations that improve patient outcomes, strengthen clinical decision-making, and drive operational efficiency at scale across health systems facing rising costs and workforce shortages. "Through the Newsweek AI Impact Health Awards, we're recognizing organizations translating artificial intelligence into meaningful results across health care," said Jennifer H. Cunningham, Editor-in-Chief of Newsweek. "Their work demonstrates the potential of AI to improve care, support better decisions and strengthen health system operations."
