Claydon High School is looking for a Mathematics Teaching Assistant.
‘Be the best you can be’.
We are looking to appoint a colleague with excellent numeracy and a desire to ensure students are prepared for their future lives with mathematical skills.
You will support teachers and learners in Mathematics lessons developing numeracy skills and fluency. In addition, you will work with small groups of students delivering catch up intervention or supporting GCSE revision.
Ideally, you will have some experience of working with young people aged 11-16 in an educational setting and have good ICT skills to support learners. This post would be suitable for graduates considering a future career in teaching.
You will play a central role in supporting our students to ‘be the best they can be’. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them make the most of their potential.
Claydon High School is a popular, oversubscribed and friendly comprehensive school on the outskirts of Ipswich; we are situated close to the A14 with easy transport links across Suffolk and into Essex. We are a small school with 775 students on roll which means that there is a close working relationship with all the staff and students in the school. As part of the Penrose Learning Trust, we also work closely with other schools within the MAT to achieve “excellence through collaboration”.
