Responsibilities
  • Process customer transactions effectively and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payoffs and draws, official checks, and related transactions.
  • Recognize and identify customer needs, cues, and clues in every transaction and properly refer customers to the platform for an additional needs-based conversation.
  • Execute the bank’s service standards in every customer and teammate interaction.
  • Understand and listen for customer issues and concerns, and either own the problem or refer the customer to a branch teammate who can address the concern.
  • Maintain service knowledge standards in conjunction with related regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Execute daily operations, including balancing, ordering supplies, balancing the ATM and vault, and performing branch capture procedures.
  • Protect the bank from unnecessary risk by following compliance, risk, and operational procedures.
  • Stay up to date on all regulations, policies, and procedures related to Teller and other branch operations.
  • Assist the Head Teller with additional operational procedures as necessary, including quarterly branch assessments.
  • May assist with coaching and mentoring and serve as a role model in all areas of operations for teller teammates.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • One year of teller experience and/or previous cash-handling experience is preferred.
  • Six months of customer service experience is preferred.

Renasant names Catherine Mealor as CFO as Jim Mabry transitions to retirement

Renasant Corporation announced Catherine Mealor will join as executive vice president and chief financial officer on 5 October 2026, assuming the CFO role on 1 January 2027. Jim Mabry, CFO since August 2020, will step down at year-end and retire in early 2027. The board intends to nominate Mabry for director election at the 2027 annual meeting. Mealor joins from Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, where she covered small and mid-cap banks across the southeastern US. She brings over 20 years of financial services experience and has served on FASB's Investor Advisory Committee since September 2021. During Mabry's tenure, Renasant grew from $14 billion to $27 billion in assets and completed its largest merger.

IHL approves renaming of Southern Miss' football stadium. Published: Aug. 20, 2026 at 10:13 AM PDT | Updated: 5 hours ago HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - The Mississippi Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) approved a deal on Thursday morning that will rename M.M. Roberts Stadium, affectionately known as 'The Rock.' The University of Southern Mississippi struck a $13.7 million deal with Renasant Bank in exchange for the namesake. For the next 10 years, 'The Rock' will become 'Renasant Stadium.' The Mississippi IHL said that the university and bank had come to a mutual agreement after evaluating the value of the naming rights. The agreement can be terminated at any time and is active starting Friday, Aug. 21.

Renasant Q2 earnings beat estimates at $0.94 per share, revenue misses at $273.94M

Renasant reported second-quarter earnings of $0.94 per share, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.91 per share and marking a 3.30% surprise. This compares to earnings of $0.69 per share a year ago. The company has beaten consensus EPS estimates three times over the last four quarters. However, quarterly revenues of $273.94 million missed the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 0.6%, though this represents an increase from year-ago revenues of $267.19 million. Renasant shares have risen about 23% since the beginning of the year, outperforming the S&P 500's 8.3% gain. Despite the positive earnings surprise, the estimate revisions trend for Renasant was unfavourable ahead of this release, translating into a Zacks Rank 4 (Sell) for the stock.
