About the job

Requirements
  • A Master of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Neuroscience, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in medical imaging data analysis, including image reconstruction, segmentation, registration, and quantitative image analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and/or R, with programming and artificial intelligence/machine learning expertise, and experience with artificial intelligence or deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Experience with neuroimaging software packages such as FreeSurfer, FSL, SPM, ANTs, PMOD, and Nipype, and data standards such as DICOM and BIDS.
  • A strong background in machine learning, image processing, and algorithm development.
  • Ability to manage and analyze large, multi-site imaging datasets while ensuring data integrity and reproducibility.
  • Experience applying artificial intelligence or deep learning to neuroimaging, including segmentation, harmonization, or anomaly detection.
  • Vaccination against COVID-19 is a prerequisite for employment.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage robust data pipelines for MRI and PET data ingestion, curation, de-identification, BIDS conversion, and quality control across imaging studies and study sites.
  • Implement and optimize software, algorithms, deep learning, and artificial intelligence-based tools for structural and quantitative MRI brain segmentation, tissue classification, image harmonization, denoising, and anomaly detection.
  • Implement and optimize tools for dynamic and multidimensional imaging data handling and four-dimensional data analysis.
  • Implement and optimize parametric and kinetic modeling of PET data for tracer quantification, including SUVR, DVR, binding potential, and dynamic data modeling.
  • Implement and optimize predictive modeling and biomarker extraction using machine learning and deep neural networks, including convolutional neural networks and 3D U-Nets.
  • Develop algorithms for cross-modality data fusion and multi-site harmonization.
  • Collaborate with site investigators and CHDI’s data management and biomarker teams to establish scalable data transfer and analysis workflows.
  • Prepare data documentation, technical reports, visualizations, and presentations for internal reviews, publications, and external collaborations.

About the company

CHDI Management provides administrative, management, and contracting services to CHDI Foundation and other non-profit organizations dedicated to Huntington’s disease (HD) research. It supports rapid discovery and development of HD therapies by handling operations so researchers can focus on science. The company’s work is service-based, not a product; its staff and offices enable global collaboration with academic and industry scientists. CHDI Management differentiates itself by its exclusive focus on Huntington’s disease and its role as the coordinating, nonprofit-backed management arm for HD research initiatives. Its goal is to increase understanding of HD and hasten the development of therapies to delay or slow the disease.

What believers are saying

  • On May 26, 2026, Prilenia gave CHDI placebo-arm data from PRIDE and PROOF.
  • At CHDI's February 2026 conference, AMT-130 showed 75% disease-slowing at three years.
  • CHDI and Regeneron sequenced 18,874 Enroll-HD samples, expanding biomarker and genetics power.

What critics are saying

  • CHDI depends on Huntington's disease breakthroughs; one field-wide setback freezes its mission.
  • If donor funding tightens in 2027, CHDI's outsourced model loses operating leverage.
  • Negative AMT-130 or SKY-0515 data would damage CHDI's core thesis and partner pipeline.

What makes CHDI Management unique

  • CHDI is a privately funded nonprofit dedicated solely to Huntington's disease.
  • Its virtual model outsources science while coordinating discovery, development, and data sharing.
  • Enroll-HD plus whole-genome sequencing give CHDI unusually deep Huntington's datasets.

Unlearn refines AI model for Huntington's disease trials using CHDI Foundation data

Unlearn, an AI company specialising in clinical development, will use data from CHDI Foundation's Enroll-HD research platform to refine its Huntington's disease-specific Digital Twin Generator. The machine learning model generates individualised forecasts of disease progression using longitudinal, patient-level data. Enroll-HD is a global clinical research platform with over 22,000 active participants across 157 sites in 23 countries. CHDI Foundation is a privately funded nonprofit exclusively dedicated to developing Huntington's disease therapeutics. Unlearn's AI-generated digital twins are used in clinical trials to reduce variability and strengthen treatment effect estimation. The company has received EMA qualification and FDA support for applying AI in clinical trials. The collaboration aims to improve how Huntington's disease trials are designed and analysed.
