Cohesity adds managed clean room to HCLTech VaultNXT. Wed, 2nd Sep 2026 (Today) Cohesity has added a managed clean room service to HCLTech's VaultNXT offering, expanding the partners' cyber recovery work for organisations responding to attacks. The new service combines Cohesity Clean Room and its AI-based data security tools with VaultNXT, HCLTech's consulting-led cyber resilience framework. It is intended to give customers a secure, isolated environment to investigate incidents, validate recovery data and restore business systems after a cyberattack. Both groups are targeting a cyber security market that has moved beyond simple backup and restore. Companies facing ransomware and other disruptive attacks are under pressure not only to recover data, but also to prove restored systems are clean, document the recovery process and meet regulatory expectations. VaultNXT is positioned as a managed service with policy-based cyber vaulting, immutable recovery copies and controlled access. Adding the clean room service allows customers to carry out forensic investigation, containment, validation and recovery in a segregated environment rather than on production infrastructure. The service also uses automated workflows and security controls intended to make recovery faster and easier to govern. The process is designed to be audit-ready and to support regulatory frameworks including DORA and NIS2, which have increased the focus on operational resilience and cyber incident response. Recovery focus The announcement reflects a wider shift in the data protection market, where vendors and service providers are trying to link backup, cyber recovery and compliance more closely. That trend has been driven by higher attack volumes, growing regulatory scrutiny and the cost of prolonged outages after a breach. For HCLTech, the addition strengthens an offering aimed at enterprises seeking external support to assess, build and operate ransomware recovery arrangements. For Cohesity, it extends the role of its clean room technology from a product feature to part of a managed service delivered through a partner. Kit Beall, Chief Revenue Officer, Cohesity, outlined the rationale for the launch. "Cyber recovery strategies need to go beyond restoring data to include investigation, validation, and trusted recovery," said Kit Beall, Chief Revenue Officer, Cohesity. Beall added: "With VaultNXT's proven framework, Cohesity and HCLTech are bringing together market-leading managed clean room services and AI-powered data security to help our customers recover trusted data faster, support compliance requirements, reduce risk, and operate with greater confidence." Partnership push The update also highlights the continuing partnership between the two companies in cyber resilience and hybrid cloud services. HCLTech has been building out service-led security offerings for large organisations, while Cohesity has been seeking to deepen its reach through channel and service partners. Rampal Singh, Senior Vice President of the Hybrid Cloud Business Unit, HCLTech, said the latest step builds on that relationship. "VaultNXT reflects the strength of the HCLTech and Cohesity partnership in helping organisations turn data protection into a strategic cyber resilience asset in the AI era," said Rampal Singh, Senior Vice President of the Hybrid Cloud Business Unit, HCLTech. Singh added: "By combining HCLTech's global scale and cyber resilience expertise with Cohesity's AI-powered data security and recovery, we help customers reduce downtime, stay compliant and operational, and respond faster to evolving cyber threats as the AI landscape expands." ANZ demand The companies pointed in particular to demand from organisations that need a formal and repeatable recovery model. In regulated sectors, incident response now often requires not just technical restoration, but evidence that the process was controlled and that recovered data can be trusted. James Eagleton, ANZ Managing Director, Cohesity, said the market in Australia and New Zealand is moving in that direction. "For organisations across ANZ, cyber recovery is no longer just about having a backup to restore. It is about investigating, validating and recovering in a secure, controlled environment, while maintaining the confidence of customers, regulators and the business. The enhanced HCLTech VaultNXT offering combines managed clean room capabilities with Cohesity's AI-powered data security to help organisations recover trusted data faster and strengthen resilience against an evolving threat landscape," said James Eagleton, ANZ Managing Director, Cohesity. Cohesity works with customers in more than 140 countries, including two-thirds of the Global 500.

Cohesity partners with T-Systems Switzerland for Backup-as-a-Service. Dedicated to Swiss customers. By Philippe Nicolas | August 27, 2026 at 2:00 pm T-Systems Switzerland and Cohesity have joined forces to introduce a sovereign Backup-as-a-Service and cyber resilience offering designed for Swiss enterprises and public-sector organizations. The service combines Cohesity's data security and cyber resilience technology with T-Systems' cloud infrastructure and managed services capabilities. Hosted and operated from data centers in Switzerland, the offering addresses increasing requirements for data sovereignty, residency, compliance, and regulatory control. Customers can run the service entirely on T-Systems' cloud infrastructure, eliminating the need for dedicated backup hardware, or connect it to existing on-premises environments through a hybrid deployment model. The service goes beyond conventional backup and recovery by integrating Cohesity's AI-powered anomaly detection, threat scanning, and automated data classification capabilities. These features help organizations identify potential cyber threats earlier, determine which systems and data have been compromised, and locate clean recovery points following ransomware or other cyberattacks. The partnership also illustrates a broader European trend toward locally operated data protection services that combine data sovereignty and regulatory compliance with stronger cyber resilience and faster recovery capabilities.
