About the job

Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks, including configuring, orchestrating, permissioning, and evaluating agents in real delivery workflows, sufficient to design roles, accountabilities, oversight models, and team archetypes for agent-participating delivery.
  • At least 8 years of experience in enterprise architecture or operating-model or organizational-design consulting, including experience in regulated enterprises.
  • Experience designing operating models and role frameworks for large technology organizations, with design work that outlasted a tooling or methodology generation, and the ability to defend that design to CIO leadership and the organizations expected to implement it.
  • Design-level knowledge of flow-based delivery systems and modern Agile ways of working, including Scaled Agile (SAFe) or comparable frameworks, the product operating model, Lean, and Kanban; ability to assess and rebuild these approaches, including their limitations under AI-augmented delivery; and experience designing lifecycle architecture that reconciles with enterprise architecture standards and platform constraints.
  • Experience designing governance, controls, and human-accountability models for regulated delivery, including approval gates, decision rights, evidence capture, and documentation of agent-executed work for risk and audit review.
Responsibilities
  • Use AI in the design practice to accelerate research, options analysis, artifact drafting, and stress-testing.
  • Author and maintain team archetypes and interaction patterns for AI-augmented delivery, including team composition, AI integration level, and interactions across the delivery flow.
  • Design role and accountability frameworks for the target operating model, including role definitions, decision rights, skill expectations, and progression paths aligned with the enterprise job family framework.
  • Define the human-agent operating design, including which work people retain or delegate to agents, where human-above-the-loop review applies, and how accountability and escalation work when an agent acts; design governance and control points for agent-participating delivery with Risk, Audit, Enterprise DevSecOps, and Platform Engineering.
  • Set design standards for consistent operating-model decisions across CIO organizations, including when archetypes apply, what may be adapted locally, and which deviations require approval.
  • Design end-to-end lifecycle architecture connecting the product development lifecycle and software development lifecycle from product intent to running code, reconciled with MetLife Enterprise Architecture standards.
  • Design the transition from the current delivery model to the AI-First target state, including sequencing, dependency mapping, phasing, stakeholder impacts, role-transition paths, and enablement requirements for each archetype.
  • Collaborate with enterprise delivery leaders, portfolio organizations, and advisory teams to incorporate field feedback, evaluate model effectiveness, and align future-state improvements with delivery realities.
  • Produce reference implementation artifacts for CIO organizations, including decision-rights matrices, operating cadences, and worked examples applied to real delivery contexts; validate the artifacts with delivery teams.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience applying adoption and readiness practices to structural change, including role-transition design, stakeholder impact analysis, communication planning, and adoption sequencing, with designs that held up during implementation.
  • Experience in a large enterprise organization of 1,000 or more technologists and in regulated environments.
  • Formal grounding in an organizational-design, adoption, or change methodology such as Team Topologies, sociotechnical systems design, Prosci, or equivalent, and experience defining readiness and measurement models to assess whether a change took hold.
  • Experience guiding an organization through a product operating-model transition, including a period when the previous and target models are both in effect.
  • Relevant certifications such as SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, PMI-ACP, Prosci, TOGAF, GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Azure AI, or comparable.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Half its profit comes from abroad: overseas units earned $796 million of $1.6 billion in Q2 2026 adjusted earnings.

Cushman, newmark win REBNY Retail Deal of the Year Awards.

Cushman, newmark win REBNY Retail Deal of the Year Awards. Team behind Urban Outfitters' Fifth Avenue downsizing take home top award Urban Outfitters wanted to shrink its Fifth Avenue footprint and needed to find a space that would still work with its multi-level store layout. The solution - a 15,000-square-foot lease at 575 Fifth Avenue - earned Cushman & Wakefield's Sean Moran, Patrick O'Rourke, Catherine Merck and Steven Soutendijk the Most Ingenious Retail Deal of the Year award on Wednesday at REBNY's 2025 Retail Deal of the Year Awards at Vornado's 2 Penn Plaza, where dealmakers gathered to celebrate. The brokers masterminded a move from Urban Outfitters' 23,000-square-foot, two-level corner store at 521 Fifth Avenue into the smaller space on the corner of 47th Street. In order to seal the deal, they promised to build a new escalator connecting the lower level of the retail condo to the street level. The space, which previously served as part of L'Oréal's headquarters, was only connected to the building's atrium, a common area subject to a thicket of zoning and city-planning requirements. "To modify those spaces can be time-consuming and costly and challenging," Moran said. "That's something in retail we don't normally get involved with." The Cushman team spent almost two years securing approvals to remove the escalators connecting the atrium to the lower level. They also won approval to open an elevator door on the opposite side of an existing one, allowing it to access the store directly and serve as Urban Outfitters' ADA-compliant elevator. The brokers negotiated a one-year extension at Urban Outfitters' existing Fifth Avenue store, giving them time to finish construction. Then they encountered another complication. The building was being sold as the lease was being negotiated. Real estate investment firms Sovereign Partners and HudsonPoint Capital bought the property from Beacon Capital Partners and MetLife for $378 million in April. That left the Urban Outfitters deal in jeopardy if the new owner decided it wanted the retail space delivered vacant. (They ultimately decided to honor the lease.) "That was another layer of approval that we rarely, rarely see," Moran said. Newmark's Jeffrey Roseman and Drew Weiss took home the Most Impactful Retail Deal of the Year award for brokering luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet's 12,000-square-foot flagship at 785 Fifth Avenue. And Daija US COO Jeffrey Kleiner won the Retail Development/Project of the Year award for his work on the Waldorf Astoria New York redevelopment.
