About the job

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in construction or commercial maintenance.
  • Proficiency in carpentry, including partition framing with metal or wood studs, basic cabinetry and countertop installation, and door and window installation.
  • Proficiency in interior and exterior painting.
  • Proficiency in flooring installation, including VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares, and cove base.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, including sinks, faucets, toilets, and basic drainage and water lines.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical work, including light fixtures, switches, outlets, basic data connections, and diagnosing minor electrical problems.
  • Knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC-related work.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements.
  • Ability to provide basic construction hand tools.
  • OSHA 10-hour certification or completion of OSHA 10-hour training within 3 months of employment.
  • Ability to work overtime and/or on-call as workload and emergency issues require.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work overnight shifts throughout the United States when needed.
Responsibilities
  • Perform commercial renovations and buildouts.
  • Make detailed repair records, including measurements, pictures, repair recommendations, and quotes.
  • Communicate with customers regarding repairs and build relationships.
  • Provide general handyman services for commercial construction and facility maintenance projects.
