Requirements
  • Relevant practical experience in psychiatry or mental health settings.
  • Current Oméga training in managing aggressive behavior is required.
  • Must be a member in good standing of the OIIQ.
  • Must be available to start immediately and flexibly cover rotating shifts and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Assess the mental state, health history, and behavior of patients admitted to the psychiatry service.
  • Plan, provide, and evaluate nursing care according to psychiatric treatment plans.
  • Administer psychotropic medication, monitor its effects, and identify potential side effects.
  • Respond effectively to crises, agitation, or clinical disorganization using de-escalation techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other practitioners.
