  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health and the unit or department.
  • Maintains a current State of Alabama Registered Nurse license.
  • Maintains current Basic Life Support/Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Has at least one year of critical care Registered Nurse experience.
Responsibilities
  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates individualized patient care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provides age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care while advocating for patients and families.
  • Coordinates patient care and appropriately delegates responsibilities to healthcare team members.
  • Collaborates with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and leadership to ensure effective patient care and unit operations.
  • Documents patient assessments, treatments, medications, education, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrates clinical expertise, maintains competency in nursing skills and equipment, and serves as a preceptor, educator, or charge nurse as needed.
  • Promotes a compassionate, safe, inclusive, and therapeutic environment while upholding patient rights and legal standards.
  • Supports professional development, quality improvement initiatives, peer mentoring, organizational goals, and compliance with all policies and procedures.
