NerdWallet’s best-in-class SEO program is looking to grow amid the evolution of SEO and we are seeking a Senior SEO Specialist to help in that endeavor by supporting our verticals. You will define, optimize, and scale our SEO efforts, contributing to NerdWallet’s growth.
As a Senior SEO Specialist on the SEO Team, you will be responsible for defining the organic traffic acquisition and engagement strategies for a key user segment. Nerds embrace a mindset of ‘hypothesize, build, measure, learn’ and this role offers strong SEOs, CROs and omni-channel marketers the opportunity to employ this mindset as the owner of optimizing the throughput of our vertical content library.
This role will report tothe Head of Organic Growth.
Where you can make an impact:
- Own forecast updates for traffic model and communicate assumptions behind changes, plus risks and opportunities
- Identify strategic opportunities to grow organic traffic across our business
- Define and establish KPIs and goals
- Own and execute a content roadmap designed to optimally capture and convert organic traffic in a way that balances business priorities and user needs
- Track and anticipate competitor activity and industry trends
- Reinforce and improve SEO Moat and performance on priority pages
- Own strategy and testing for website ads that drive priority engagement metrics across site
- Monitor competitive landscape across owned verticals and identify opportunities for competitive advantages and/or matching tactics
- Develop dashboards, monitor performance and contextualize the data to form actionable insights that drive results

Your experience:

- Understanding or expertise in SEO and SEO tools
- 5+ years of work experience in growth marketing, strategy consulting, or business operations at a high growth B2C or B2B company
- Proven track record of delivering business outcomes and/or products that move the needle on company metrics
- Experience working with Editorial Content teams to improve channel distribution
- Ability to interface with and present to manager and senior executive level leaders autonomously
- Experience in local SEO at scale (100+ locations) or you have worked on an enterprise website with over 50k pages
- Proven expertise in SEO strategies and implementation
- Extensive experience in SEO for B2B marketing, including strategy development and execution
- Experience in SEO/CRO/Omni-channel marketing at startups a plus
- Working knowledge of SQL

Base pay offered may vary within the posted range based on several factors, including but not limited to education, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
The pay range for this role is
$96,000—$180,000 USD
