The Ohio State University Division of Orthodontics is looking for a part-time faculty member to teach in the graduate clinic.

The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the fourth largest public dental school in the United States and it is the only public dental school in Ohio. The college is divided into ten divisions with all major ADA-recognized dental specialties represented. The College has approximately 600 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs.

This position will be responsible for; treatment planning with residents, oversee patient treatment with residents in clinic, mentoring residents in Orthodontic treatment, patient screenings with residents and predoc students which serves the purpose of getting new patients into the Grad Ortho Clinic and fulfilling graduation requirements for D3 and D4 students.

Educational Requirements: DDS or DMD and MS in Orthodontics

The College

The College of Dentistry (CoD) distinguishes itself nationally by engaging faculty throughout the campus, around the state, and across the country in a host of experiences that provide enriching opportunities. The College of Dentistry is Ohio’s only state-supported dental school, and it educates more than 60% of the state’s dentists. Comprised of ten divisions, the college supports nine advanced education programs accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. In pre-doctoral clinical education, eight small group practice clinics that focus on comprehensive care will provide an ideal environment for dental and dental hygiene students to work in a vertically integrated model for delivering care.

The Division of Orthodontics is well known for its outstanding graduate program and for training future leaders of orthodontists and researchers.

The division's faculty members have dedicated their careers to the orthodontic profession while being supported by excellent and caring clinical and administrative staff and assistants. Our main goal is to provide students with the highest-quality education and to be proficient in the clinical specialty of orthodontics. We also provide a program of education in the clinical specialty that satisfies the standards of the Commission on Accreditation of the American Dental Association and the American Board of Orthodontics. The graduate program consists of intensive didactic, clinical and research components.
