About the job

Requirements
  • Strong, well-rounded software engineering background, with a generalist platform-engineering, DevOps, or developer-experience orientation rather than a purely AI-engineering identity.
  • Hands-on experience building and orchestrating AI agents, including single- or multi-agent systems, rather than only calling a large language model API from a script.
  • Experience with AI evaluation, benchmarking, and prompt engineering.
  • Working knowledge of AI security and governance for internal tooling, including prompt-injection risk and guarding against cost or behavior regressions in agent pipelines.
  • A track record of completing large, multi-month efforts largely independently and identifying what needs to be solved without relying on a detailed task list.
  • Strong judgment about platform abstractions, including when to build a reusable standardized path versus when to retain flexibility for a one-off need.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with Security, IT, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Be based in, or able to reliably commute to, the Denver, Colorado metro area.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain internal AI productivity tools and the platform used to develop, package, and distribute them across engineering and product development.
  • Design, build, and operate internal AI agents and automations, either as standalone agents running on a web service or embedded capabilities invoked from a chat or integrated development environment surface.
  • Define productivity metrics for engineering and product-development work, evaluate tools and agents against those metrics, and iterate based on results.
  • Own AI governance for internal tooling, including guardrails and review processes to prevent token-cost regressions and prompt-injection risks, access controls, and standards for safe deployment of internal AI tools and agents.
  • Partner with Security and IT to enable adoption of AI tooling.
  • Manage identity and access for AI agents separately from human users, including credentials, permissions, and audit trails.
  • Lead training and enablement sessions to help engineers and product managers get value from the tools.
  • Track measurable adoption outcomes, including tool adoption rates, time saved, and reduction in manual toil, and iterate the platform based on usage.
  • Collaborate with teams building AI-powered product features, such as Atrius and QSC, as a supporting partner without owning their product roadmap.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience running training or enablement programs for engineering tools.
  • Experience building developer or internal platforms used by multiple teams, including a golden-path or self-service approach.
  • Familiarity with agent-orchestration frameworks such as Claude SDK, LangGraph, or similar.
  • Experience with engineering telemetry, observability, or continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Experience with AI-native coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor, and informed opinions about their fit in an engineering workflow.
