About the job

Requirements
  • Have 8 or more years of product management experience, including building enterprise analytics, data, or intelligence platforms supporting multiple products or business domains.
  • Have a strong understanding of data architecture, including ingestion, data modeling, entity resolution, APIs, and multi-tenant systems, and be able to engage deeply with engineers on technical decisions and tradeoffs.
  • Have hands-on experience building AI-powered products and understand the opportunities, limitations, and evaluation challenges of large language models and agentic systems.
  • Understand data accuracy, explainability, and traceability in enterprise platforms, with experience building products where data integrity, security, privacy, and compliance are essential.
  • Have experience forming product-platform strategy and balancing long-term architecture with immediate business needs.
  • Be able to ship incrementally, learn from real-world usage, and evolve early capabilities into scalable, reliable solutions.
  • Communicate clearly, document decisions thoughtfully, and build alignment across Product, Engineering, and Research while navigating technical and business tradeoffs.
  • Be motivated to apply AI and modern data technology to healthcare challenges.
Responsibilities
  • Define the vision, priorities, and roadmap for the shared platform; decide which capabilities belong in the platform versus individual product domains and balance delivery speed with long-term scalability.
  • Partner with Engineering to shape ingestion, reconciliation, modeling, and connection of complex healthcare data across products, contracts, vendors, facilities, and spend.
  • Drive capabilities including large-language-model-powered contract extraction, product categorization, and entity resolution, ensuring insights are accurate, explainable, and traceable to their sources.
  • Own shared infrastructure and capabilities powering AI agents; work with Engineering and Research to establish how agents are built, evaluated, and improved so product teams can build reliable AI-powered experiences across healthcare domains.
  • Define data-quality standards, metrics, and continuous monitoring across the platform, building accuracy, reliability, and transparency into systems.
  • Partner with Product Managers across supply chain, managed care, and pharmacy to understand needs and build reusable capabilities that accelerate development.
  • Improve onboarding of new health systems and data sources to reduce complexity and increase speed of value delivery.
  • Shape platform capabilities to meet health systems' security, privacy, compliance, and reliability expectations; work with Engineering on architectural tradeoffs and evolve early solutions into scalable infrastructure.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with healthcare data, including electronic health record, enterprise resource planning, supply chain, pharmacy, or payer data.
  • Familiarity with knowledge graphs, ontologies, data catalogs, or master data management.
  • Experience building products at an early-stage company.

About the company

Midstream Health builds an AI-powered financial action platform for health systems to cut costs beyond traditional revenue cycle management. It ingests and unifies financial, operational, and contract data into a single trusted source of truth, then uses domain-trained AI agents to identify and prioritize cost-saving actions such as recovering rebates, correcting invoices, preventing overpayments, and spotting payer underpayments, turning insights into real-time tasks. The platform is designed for fast deployment and promises a return on effort within four months. Midstream uses a shared-savings model, taking a portion of the savings it creates for large health systems like Mount Sinai, CommonSpirit Health, and Houston Methodist, with solutions for supply chain, managed care, and pharmacy.

What believers are saying

  • CommonSpirit partnered in February 2026, then expanded Midstream into enterprise financial operations.
  • Houston Methodist expanded deployment in April 2026, starting with supply chain and broadening quickly.
  • Leadership additions in April 2026 signal hiring momentum and commercialization across live customers.

What critics are saying

  • Seed-only funding limits endurance against Oracle, Workday, and Epic entering health system finance.
  • Shared-savings pricing depends on provable savings; weak deployments kill renewals within twelve months.
  • Three flagship health systems create concentration risk; one failed rollout damages credibility across the coalition.

What makes Midstream Health unique

  • Midstream unifies fragmented hospital finance, contract, and spend data into validated action workflows.
  • Contract-aware AI agents target rebates, underpayments, and supply chain waste, not dashboards.
  • CommonSpirit, Mount Sinai, and Houston Methodist validate enterprise adoption across $80B net patient revenue.
