About the job
- A minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or in equivalent roles.
- Strong skills in cake production and decorating, pies, tarts, chocolate work, upscale à la carte dessert production, quick breads, breakfast pastries, display pieces, and writing standardized recipes.
- A valid Food Handlers card is required.
- Help lead the team of culinary professionals and oversee bakery and pastry activities for the fine-dining restaurant, upscale casual Bistro, catering services, and other areas of the culinary program.
- Prepare all pastry and baked goods, maintain food quality control, and ensure food safety in all kitchens and food preparation areas where pastries and baked goods are produced throughout the community.
- Prior experience and the ability to help others develop their potential through strong, effective leadership.
- A ServSafe Food Safety Manager certificate.
