Maintenance Technician
About the job
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- One to two years of residential or apartment maintenance experience is required.
- Demonstrated skill in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general repairs is required.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Availability for 24/7 on-call duties, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required.
- Ability to comply with safety regulations and building codes is required.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.
- Diagnose and repair maintenance issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain interior and exterior common areas to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Complete minor carpentry, painting, appliance, and general repairs.
- Supervise and mentor junior maintenance staff when applicable.
- Manage inventory and submit maintenance records and reports.
- Technical or vocational training.
- Relevant certifications such as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning or Occupational Safety and Health Administration certifications.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
