Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree, or a high school diploma and four years of related experience.
  • One year of human subject research experience.
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility in responding to new research opportunities.
  • Ability to self-manage, meet deadlines, and make progress without direct supervision.
  • Ability to learn new software, research methods, and work routines quickly.
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office, Excel, statistical software, and internet and electronic communications.
  • Ability to communicate tactfully and work directly with clients, team members, and community members.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with the design, execution, analysis, and evaluation of health-related projects.
  • Assist with academic research, health-related program development, and community engagement.
  • Edit and prepare manuscripts.
  • Meet regularly with the supervisor to discuss research and problematic assignments.
  • Contribute to project-related web materials, educational materials, and social media content.
  • Attend program-related community meetings and perform outreach.
  • Gather and analyze data.
  • Prepare materials for submission to agencies and foundations that fund research.
  • Prepare materials for Institutional Review Board review.
  • Manage and reply to project-related correspondence.
  • Attend project meetings.
  • Assist with program-related care innovations and quality improvement initiatives, including education.
  • Prepare articles, reports, and presentations.
  • Perform routine clerical duties when essential to assigned research activities.
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of academic conferences.
  • Perform other project-related duties assigned by supervising faculty.
Desired Qualifications
  • Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative certification.
  • Interest in professional development toward future graduate school or employment in health-related research.
  • Experience writing Institutional Review Board submissions, developing protocols, collecting data, and performing basic descriptive analysis.
