About the job

Requirements
  • Interest in cloud security research and state-of-the-art techniques is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in low-effort, high-impact and high-effort, high-impact situations.
  • Ability to pass background checks and applicable security clearance is required.
  • Strict confidentiality and correct handling of sensitive information are mandatory.
  • English is the primary working language.
Responsibilities
  • Design and evaluate secure architectures across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Define security-first patterns for cloud-native and hybrid environments.
  • Assess misconfigurations, exposure, and trust boundaries across cloud services.
  • Work deeply with identity systems, identity and access management, permissions, service principals, and role design.
  • Model identity-driven attack paths and privilege escalation scenarios.
  • Help define secure identity and access patterns across cloud environments.
  • Model and analyze attack surfaces across cloud, identity, network, and application layers.
  • Identify real-world attack paths rather than theoretical vulnerabilities.
  • Contribute to how the platform reasons about exploitability and exposure.
  • Design and assess network architectures including private networking, segmentation, and zero-trust principles.
  • Evaluate exposure through public services, application programming interfaces, ingress points, and infrastructure.
  • Contribute to detection logic, correlation, and risk reasoning across multiple security signals.
  • Help distinguish noise from real risk to support autonomous decision-making.
  • Track cloud-focused attacker techniques and emerging exploitation patterns.
  • Perform threat modeling to improve coverage, logic, and decision quality.
  • Turn security work into real product improvements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Writing technical blogs or research content is optional but highly valued.

About the company

CYBRET AI builds autonomous, AI-native cybersecurity systems designed to prevent breaches by turning cybersecurity into an autonomous intelligence function. It uses real-time security knowledge graphs that unify identities, assets, logs, and threat signals to enable contextual threat detection, attack-path reconstruction, and machine-driven responses. It is developing an autonomous MDR platform that connects with 90+ security tools to detect and respond in seconds, along with automated data-labeling pipelines and research on AI-driven attackers. Its goal is to replace fragmented security tools with a scalable, self-operating system that protects enterprises and critical infrastructure.

What believers are saying

  • September 2026 site says early-access program targets security and platform teams.
  • December 2025 backing from Skyfall Ventures, Visionaries Club, Wave Ventures, and FR8 reduces funding risk.
  • October 1, 2026 founder updates emphasize autonomous vulnerability validation, keeping CYBRET visible.

What critics are saying

  • September 2026 early access still signals no broad customer traction or proven revenue.
  • Under 25 people cannot support enterprise deployments, integrations, and 24/7 incident response.
  • Palo Alto Networks, Wiz, and CrowdStrike can bundle graph-based testing into existing platforms.

What makes CYBRET AI unique

  • December 2025 launch: CYBRET AI pairs app-security research with autonomous pentesting.
  • September 2026 product: one graph unifies exposure intelligence, validation, and runtime detection.
  • Mikael Sundqvist, Selin Kaya, and Adrian De Gendt combine graph engineering and exploit-path research.
