Requirements
  • Completion of a course in Radiological Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists.
  • Maintain certification with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and an active Indiana State license.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for radiologic examinations by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Accurately position patients and operate X-ray equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Follow established protocols for patient care, radiation safety, and infection control.
  • Utilize and maintain radiation protection and shielding devices to safeguard patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Inspect and monitor radiology equipment, and promptly report equipment issues or malfunctions.
  • Document completed procedures accurately and promptly within the electronic health record system.
  • Maintain examination rooms by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adequate stock of medical and radiology supplies.
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize equipment and work areas in accordance with facility standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and continuing education activities to maintain licensure and professional competencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
